Search, Compare and Buy

Our refrigerator gave up last night. Good thing we have two or else, all our groceries will end up in the trashcan. I'm searching for refrigerators online so I can find which one will last the longest without going way over budget. I heard about Krillion Localization Engine™ wherein you can search for a specific appliance and receive a list of stores selling the exact item near you. Being an Internet addict myself, I could say that this is a great idea because I always do my research online whenever I need to buy something huge. Then after my research, I'll try to find a store where I can buy my product because appliances are expensive and you should get your money's worth by testing it first. Krillion works exactly like that. You can search for General Electric Refrigerators and receive pages of information about that product plus the list of retailers near you in a matter of few clicks. The results are targeted, relevant and can definitely save time for someone who needs to buy big items in a hurry.

Amazing Artworks

Someone left this message on my main blog -

"It was such a delight reading your postings on you and Sherwin and your little princess- more so to see the utter dedication, unconditional love and passion you have for your family. How well you seem to be balancing your carefree spirited nature with your family and work responsibilities. I salute you and i send a thousand blessings your way."

I don't know if any of those are true, but thank you very much. Then I checked her blog and was immediately impressed with her artworks. Check them out here. All of them are just mind blowing. Don't forget to check the Aboriginal Phase series. It's amazing how she was able to capture her dreams in detail. She's so talented. Very original. I'd like to say more but I can't really describe how awed I am.

Trick or Treat Photos

Here are some photos from last weekend's trick or treat. This one was held in our village here in Paranaque. I was surprised at the amount of kids who attended. Not only there were so many of them but all of them tried to their best to put on a costume.

Here's a series of photos of my little ballerina Snow White.

Sandy was so tired but still won't let me remove her costume. It was her first time to eat a whole cornetto ice ceam (I let her so she will not throw tantrums. bad mommy!) so she was jumping and screaming with delight.

Compare and Conquer

With so many credit cards to choose from, it's hard to know which one can suit you financially. You could be paying for additional perks when you don't even know what it does or if you need them at all. What you need is a quick visit to CreditCardSearchEngine.com so you can review the extensive list of credit cards available there. They feature offers from all major U.S Credit Card companies like J.P. Morgan Chase, Bank of America, Citibank and more. Feel free to Compare Cash Back Credit Cards, Low Interest Credit Cards, Airline Miles Credit Cards, Business Credit Cards and other type of cards. Each card company has detailed information that you can review including APR, annual fee and special discounts, rewards and rebates. Choosing the right card for you has never been this easy.

Blogspot Timestamp

I don't know what's wrong with my timestamp. It's now 7:31 PM but the time says 3:29 AM on this post. I tried fixing it but can't find anything on the preferences about time. This is really weird. I noticed this when I was writing about what a good day it was and how Sandy slept through the night. When I saved the post, the time says 10:30 PM LOL. So much for my good morning post.

Phone Chat Dating

Check out this free dating site, Friendsation. It's a brand new social blogging network that allows members to interact with others through free live chat on the Internet or via a mobile device. What's cool about this are the blogs of the members. Blogging is such a great way to learn about a certain person and of course, to meet other people. Friendsation also has this rate my photos feature wherein you can rate a series of photos that are randomly shown. When you're done rating a photo, the profile for that person will appear on the right panel so you can get to know him/her better. And did I mention about the 24/7 FREE phone chat? Just dial 509-676-1100 and you will be connected with singles in a matter of minutes.

Looking Good

Got three new design projects on the side. So aside from my fulltime job and paid blogging, which is doing good, thanks to my new PR (hurray!), I can safely say we'll have enough savings to buy a car. Not in the next few months but the first quarter next year. All hard work, man. If you want something really bad, take action. At least, that's what my client told me last night ;).

The Husband

My husband is a very romantic man. He doesn't read a love poem or surprise me with flowers. He's also not like those people who will go as far as booking an expensive trip or going down on one knee in a public place to propose. What he does are actually small things yet they just seem to worth millions. He wrote me two songs - one about giving up, because we can't be together and another one about hope, now that we're together. I also seem to find short love notes everywhere I look - on my desk, bag, wallet, book and even on my own pocket. He used to text message me on how much he misses me even when we're just a foot away at work. He doesn't buy me expensive things but goes home with my favorite doughnut, pastry or sandwich. And the most romantic thing he ever did? He proposed to me under the fire exit! How unique is that? He didn't think about it, he said he just felt at that exact moment that he had to know, regardless of where we are or what we're doing. And every chance he gets, he thanks me for coming into his life. That's my man and I could never ask for more.

Sandy with her Papa

I had a meeting with my long time client last night. I was hesitant at first because we're meeting around 7PM and I don't know what time we're going to finish. Good thing The Husband was at home and assured me that he can handle Sandy on his own. So at 8:30PM, I was starting to become antsy knowing it's time to put Sandy to sleep and there I was, still talking to my client about business. We finished at exactly 10PM, I called The Husband on my way home and asked if Sandy is crying. He asked why Sandy would be crying. He said the little girl has been very good and didn't give him any problems at all. She ate her dinner in peace, played on her own and just basically became a little angel in one day. I asked The Husband if we're talking about the same kid here, LOL.

Everything you Need for your Home

We just saw an amazing deal for a 31" flat screen TV in the mall the other day. We're still deciding if we'll get one because if we do, we have to get one a wide screen TV entertainment center as well. What we have is just enough for our 25" TV set so what more for the 31"? Plus, the entertainment centers at the Furniture From Home website just looks so nice I can already imagine it in our living room. I've always wanted one of those that can totally hide your TV when not in use so all you can see from the outside is an elegant looking cabinet. Well, they have those at furniturefromhome.com and more. If you haven't visited that site, do so now. They just have the most fabulous collection of furniture - from storage beds to bar stools, dining room furniture to home office, and bedroom for the family, kids and even bachelors. Each section have so many choices that it's so hard to choose. Check out the Elegant Dark Brown Woven Glass Table Top Dining Room Set below. This is the exact dining set that I saw on TV last month and been scouting the malls for something similar. I know it's a bit expensive for us but I think it's time to invest. The last dining set that we bought has now two broken legs after being used for just two years.

Tricky Treaty

Okay, trick or trick time. We spent 6 hours roaming around the mall and just when I thought I'm gonna die if I make another step, Zara just opened their store for trick or treating. They only give goodies to those who have passports/tickets so it's a good thing we bought one even if the magic show sucked big time. Sandy didn't even look at the show and would rather stay outside the tent, in the grassy area, playing with the other kids who also think the show sucks. She met Stephanie from Lazy Town, Barbie, Superman, Rambo, Pikachu and more. The Husband had so much fun taking photos because of all the super heroes and scary characters walking around. Here's a preview, btw.

Living Room Furniture

I'm already listing down my options for the perfect sofa in preparation for our move next year. I know men prefers leather sofas but not The Husband. Like me, he wants something comfortable, soft to the touch, hypoallergenic (if there's such a thing) and of course, easy to clean. So browsing through the Furniture From Home website, I saw a very chic looking, white microfiber sofa that might look nice on our living room. The problem is it's so white and the little girl might not be strong enough to fight her need to draw on it. So as much as I love them, light colored sofas are definitely not an option. Good thing Furniture From Home has a wide range of sofas to choose from. I might go for their mocha or taupe loveseat once I find something nice for the living room.

What dya know?

Things can happen for me too. I just checked my PR on both of my blogs and surprise, surprise. I now have a PR2 on my main blog and PR3 for blogspot. Amazing! Been wanting for this for six long months. I'm really ecstatic especially when I saw all the available paid tasks for me now that I have PR :)

Busy Bees

That's what we are. It's the end of the week and we need to prepare for two "trick or treat" events. I also have loads of stuff that I need to finish at work and now cramming with some blogging assignments. Sigh. I'll never get my priorities straight. One minute, I'm working, then scrapping the next. Or I could be trying to troubleshoot a problematic stylesheet when all of a sudden; I need to stop because the little girl wants to read a book. He he. That's all I can do. Laugh.

Sleepy Fish

The little one has been sleeping through the night for the past three days. Her Papa, after constant prodding from yours truly, puts her to sleep by carrying her. This doesn't really put her to sleep but it sorts of cool her down, making her feel sleepy enough. When she's ready, The Husband will put her beside me hoping that she will fall asleep on her own. When she doesn't, she will move towards me aiming for my breast. Just a couple of minutes of nursing will do and she's asleep, uninterrupted for 8 to 9 hours straight. The good thing about this setup is I can recharge while The Husband is cooling her down.

Bad Credits

My mother in law always tells us to protect our credit standing. It's not only easier to apply for loans but banks will offer you bigger drafts and other deals to maximize your investments. However, bad credit is something that's hard to avoid especially for some people who are not very good in handling money. More and more consumers everyday are ending up with a bad credit that bad credit offers are also increasing rapidly. The site BadCreditOffers.com compiles all these offers via constant monitoring of the market to ensure that they only have the best on their list. Consumers with not so good standing can then go to their site, compare these bad credit offers and make a choice on which one will fit their financial needs. By finding the perfect bad credit offer, they can finally start their way to achieving a good credit standing.

The Crib

I came across some nice Phoenix real estate properties while doing an assignment for a mortgage company. Their luxury homes remind me of celebrity houses. Most of them have a huge pool, 6 bedrooms, big garden, amazing view and more. I always say how I want a small and comfortable home but if I have money, I'd buy a similar property so The Husband and I can have rooms for our hobbies - painting studio, music room, playroom for sandy, game/entertainment room, etc. We need a place where we can forget everything and these rooms will do just that.

Magic Loans

Here's another lending company to add on your list - Magic Loans. It's an independent lending company focused on sourcing loans for as many clients as possible. Whether you want to buy a new car, remodel your home, go on that dream vacation, you can find what you need by browsing through their loan options - Home Loans UK, Consolidation Loans and Secured Loans. They can provide between £5,000 and £250,000 regardless of the purpose with an option to pay from 3 to 30 years. Not sure how much you can loan? Just fill out a couple of fields to determine your overall financial standing. You can also try the loan calculator and see how much you need to pay for your desired loan amount.

One Event Down

Just got our form for our village's trick or treat this coming Saturday! I'm so excited already. I don't want to keep my hopes up because this is such a small village after all. Still, it's an excuse for me to put on Sandy's Cinderella ballet costume. She's going with her cousin Chloe who will be wearing a Belle ballet dress. With luck, I might be able to take a few decent shots, good enough for scrapping.

Reaching The Dream

We all want to have a place we can call our own. You'd think it's easy given how many mortgage companies are available out there. You still need to come up with at least 10-20% down payment before a mortgage lender can provide you a reasonable mortgage term. That 10% can be huge especially for middle class families like us. Yet the prospect of renting for a number of years can be equally expensive and of course, it will never be ours. Which is why I want to tell you about First Time Buyer Mortgage. The mortgage industry understands that they need to respond to the needs and requirements of its customers. The usual 10% deposit has been reduced and many lenders are now currently asking for down payments as little as 3-5% or no deposit at all. The package also now includes parents of the buyers or friends so they can buy jointly or collectively. Different companies are now offering various packages, which makes it even more important to do your research before entering into a contractual agreement. If you want to learn more, check out earth.co.uk. They can help you on your search for that perfect mortgage package simply by filling up a form in their website. They also have a huge collection of articles and guides to assist any future homeowners in making the right choice regarding mortgages.

First year book update

Just finished 4 pages of layouts for Sandy's first year book. I will try to share them once I reached my 6th month (weeks from now LOL). I have so many DS kits to choose from that I can just picture all the layouts in my head. I just hope that I can printscreen it though because I tend to forget all about them when I sleep. Anyway, I'm happy that I now have enough time to work on it. Things are a bit slow at work and some of my design clients are on holiday so I'm making the most out of it.

BlackPool Hotel

So you're all set on your trip to Pleasure Beach. All you need to find is a hotel where you can stay. Look no further because Big Blue Hotel, Recently voted Hotel of the Year at the Blackpool Tourism Awards is the only hotel on-site at Pleasure Beach. This Blackpool Hotel has over 157 beautifully designed bedrooms from family rooms to executive rooms for business guests. It's also five minutes from Blackpool airport and a couple of minutes walk form Pleasure Beach's railway station. Big Blue Hotel can accommodate your every needs with their state of the art gym, 8 golf courses, an executive business lounge, Blues bar and restaurant, and of course, access to the most popular theme park in the capital of Britain. Your stay will truly be a memorable one no matter how you want to spend it.

Expenses that never ends

The Husband gave me a list of things that we need to buy I can start with the budgeting. He wanted to get a new TV lift, a computer table, two electric fans; one for the living room because the old one broke, four big storage boxes to get rid of the mess in our hallway. He also reminded me on our insurance payments and credit card annual fees, which is due on December. Just when I was beginning to think that we’d start saving next month, a new list of purchases arrives.

Lightroom

I totally forgot that I have Adobe Lightroom. Good thing my friend Zer told me that he uses it to fix the lighting in his photos. Check out the screenshot below. Isn't that amazing?

Now I know what to do with my too grainy, dark pictures. There are still lots of things that I need to learn before I can produce a picture perfect quality but I'm getting close.

All Pleasure at the Pleasure Beach

Ever heard of Pleasure Beach in Blackpool? It's a theme park with over 125 rides, attractions and mind-boggling shows. If you think nothing can scare you, try riding the Pepsi Max Big one, a roller coaster that's 235 ft high with one mile of twisting and turning at a speed of 87mph. There's also Infusion where a heady and wet experience awaits anyone who will ride this suspended looping coaster. This favorite attraction has cascading walls of water effects and sky high, heart-stopping loops and rolls. And when you had enough excitement, you can head to any Blackpool Restaurant and get an amazing variety of food offerings. Pleasure Beach also provides accommodation via the Big Blue Hotel and can arrange a trip package for you. Plan your trip now and get the vacation you deserve.

Bloggity

I'm thinking of putting up another blog. What do you think? It will focus more on women's issues, no holds barred. Well nothing serious, really. It's just that I can't post anything negative on my two parenting blogs. I don't feel comfortable ranting there about my wife duties, plus The Husband reads my blog he he. I don't know, let's see how it goes.

Romance in the bedroom

Time4sleep.co.uk, a UK based bed company is launching their new French Beds UK collection. They sell the latest styles in beds from timeless classics to new contemporary designs and offer them at a very unbeatable price. Just look at the photos below to see their beautiful French inspired bed frames.

What I love about them is they just make any room seem romantic. The Kingstown collection for example is so elegant with its diamond inlays, scrolled metalwork and bold roping. If you prefer a classic look however, you can go for Decoussau scroll with its used and antique look, giving you a feel of the past.

Dreamy Baths

Aside from the bedroom, bathrooms are always on my top priority when it comes to cleanliness and design. My dream bathroom will have a nice and big hot tub, plush carpeting, designer Taps, functional cabinets, full length mirrors and other furniture that will make your bathing experience a bliss. This dream of mine started when I saw the beautiful bathroom on this five star hotel where The Husband and I stayed. The hot tub was so relaxing that I never wanted to get out of the bathroom anymore. Which is why I always check the bathroom whenever we check in at a place whether it's a hotel or a bed and breakfast.

Back to that hotel, I noticed that some of the furniture are just like the ones that are being sold at Taps4Less.com. I've been visiting this site lately and just love their bathroom collection. The Orbit mirror by Rodney Kinsman looks elegant and the Hudson Reed taps are just exactly what I'm looking for. They also have a nice collection of hot tubs and Amber showers plus a separate section for kitchen accessories.

Trip To The Memory Lane

6 songs that take me down memory lane

Letting the cables sleep by BUSH - This songs brings me back to the time when The Husband and I were not yet possible to be together. It’s a long story but it’s always bittersweet whenever I think about it.

Counting Cars by Dishwalla - I go back to when I was single, and things we’re so easy. I work in a real office with friends who adore and love me, and vice versa. We do nothing but work during the day and play from 9PM till 6AM. (translation: drink, dance, drink, hang out, drink) This is also the time when I was starting to notice The Husband who was just “The Officemate” back then.

Kailangan Kita by Gary V - of course! This is my bridal march. When I heard it on the radio, all I can think about is that it’s the song that I want to hear when I walk down the aisle. The guy sang it so well on our wedding that almost everyone cried and those who didn’t felt chills hearing his beautiful voice.

Black by Pearl Jam - this takes me way way back when I was still addicted to chatting. I think I’m 19-20 years old back then and I do nothing all day but chat and flirt LOL. It just feels good to remember those times when you’re worry free.

All I want by Toad the wet sprocket - Ah, high school days. Need I say more?

And of course, two songs that The Husband wrote for me - It not only brings me back to a certain time but it makes me feel so many emotions at the same time; love, sadness, fear, etc.

On Honeymoons

If ever The Husband and I get enough money for an expensive honeymoon, I'd most definitely book a Maui Condo. You will not see anything like these Hawaii vacation homes. Think of expensive lanais, ceiling to floor windows, full-sized kitchens and spacious beautiful bedrooms overlooking the beach. Locations are so close to the ocean that you can hear the waves crashing while you sleep. They also have private wading pools if you want a more intimate setting with your loved one. The Hale Nani Loa Maka or "House with Magnificent View" is a honeymooners' paradise with its fully furnished penthouse villa, luxurious service and authentic vintage art, making anyone's stay comfortable and unforgettable.

To go or not to go

I’m having second thoughts on going to Rockwell’s trick or treat this weekend. I mean, are malls completely safe now? I’m still having half-heart attacks whenever I think about what happened in Glorietta. I’ll have to ask The Husband about this. I want Sandy to have a nice Halloween but not to the extent of risking our lives just to have a few candies.

Sexy Bunny - Not

I did one of those quizzes again. Check out my Halloween costume. That's so predictable right? And all because I love fun, drinking with friends and staying
happy instead of depressed during Halloween. I mean, I want to be Queen Amidala for a change, not some slutty bunny who doesn't have any creativity in her body. LOL. I'm taking this thing seriously.

Your Halloween Costume Should Be

A Sexy Bunny

Dressing Up

My friends and I loves to dress up every Halloween. I dressed up once as Cleopatra, not so creative, I know. To compensate for the lack of creativity, I made the tiara, complete with strands of gold beads with my own hands. I spent 4 hours doing it and didn’t regret every minute. People just loved the tiara so much they kept on borrowing it just to have their picture taken wearing it.

So much for that. Now, all I get busy with is how to make sure that Sandy's ballet skirt will stay on when we go trick or treating this weekend.

Pasta Pasta

Let me share with you my favorite pasta – Fettuccini Alfredo

INGREDIENTS
24 ounces dry fettuccini pasta
1 cup butter
3/4 pint heavy cream
salt and pepper to taste
1 dash garlic salt
3/4 cup grated Romano cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add fettuccini and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.

2. In a large saucepan, melt butter into cream over low heat. Add salt, pepper and garlic salt. Stir in cheese over medium heat until melted; this will thicken the sauce.

3. Add pasta to sauce. Use enough of the pasta so that all of the sauce is used and the pasta is thoroughly coated. Serve immediately.

I’m planning to cook this for our Halloween Party with the gang next week.

The Best Candidate

I've had several bad experiences recruiting employees to our virtual company. We don't have an HR department so all recruitment process is being done by myself. Given the high employee turnover, I can say that I wasn't doing a good job. Which is why I highly advise any business to hire recruiters to ensure that all skill sets, experiences and work ethics requirements are properly met. Our company can use the help of A.E. Feldman Associates because not only they are known for their consistent record of successful placements, but also they believe in building strong relationships between clients and candidates. And this, I believe is the foundation of a successful company.

Girl's Room

I wonder when will I find time to decorate Sandy’s bedroom. She doesn’t have one yet but we’re looking for a place to rent next year and hopefully, it has a big bedroom enough to accommodate the little girl’s toys alone. I’m thinking of pink and green or purple and green so as not to make it too girly.

Market Rates

Let me post on the subject of loans once again. The Husband and I are planning to get another loan when all the installments and credit card debts that we have are paid for, hopefully by March, next year. If things turn out as planned, we can start the loan for a 2nd hand or new car (depending on the budget) before June. Interest rates for car loans are going down so I'm hoping that they get a bit lower next year. I've been monitoring the interest rates on several companies so I can make sure that we're getting the best deal. Plus, I also check out online lending websites like nationsfinance.co.uk to learn more about interest rates and other type of loans such as Unsecured loans and homeowner loans to name a few. You never know when you will need to apply for one so it’s important to be informed on the latest loan news.

Would Ya?

Been tagged by JennyR!

Would you rather….

1 …eat a live cockroach (the big hissing ones) or eat a stick of butter?
Oh I just love butter so one stick it is!

2 …go bungee jumping or skydiving?
Sky diving definitely! It’s on my list of things to do before I die. Bungee jumping can be done anywhere and I never really liked being suspended with a cable anyway

3…eat a lime or a lemon?
Lemon

4…be stranded on a deserted island alone or be stranded on a deserted island with someone you hate?
I’d rather be with someone I hate. I’m terrified of being alone so I won’t care if he/she is my worst enemy. At least my hate for that person will give me a reason to live so I can hate him some more LOL.

5…be able to read minds or be able to become invisible?
Read minds as long as I can switch it off. Sometimes there are things that you just don’t want to know.

Cheaper Way to Start Your Biz

Have you heard of equipment leasing? I just read about it at Equipment Leasing Pros who provides a network of equipment lenders. Equipment leasing is fairly cheaper and more cost effective than buying your own equipments. It has several advantages such as deferred payment options, tax-deductible lease payments, tax write offs for full depreciation of equipment and more. The best part is that you can even trade old, outdated equipments for brand new ones. It's the perfect solution for start up businesses that still can't afford to purchase their own equipments. There are over a hundred of lenders in the market and Equipment Leasing Pros can help you find the specific equipment that you need in no time. Some types of equipment for lease are phone systems, IT systems, interior decor, manufacturing and medical. To get started, go to their website, fill out the 20-second quote and receive five free quotes for free.

Sick-o

The little one is sick again. Hay, I can already imagine the sleepless nights. Not that I'm not used to it but it's hard when even Sandy and The Husband can't get the rest that they need. Sandy doesn't like medicines and just throws them up. So instead of getting better or being able to breathe more, she couldn't, hence, the lack of sleep. Good thing the Husband and I are already used to this. We take turns in carrying Sandy through the night so we could at least get one to two hours of rest.

I hope she'll feel better soon. She can't take Dimetapp anymore now that it has been recalled so we're left with dealing with her colds the natural way.

We all need a hobby

Do you have a hobby? I don't. It's not like I still have enough space on my already too tight schedule. Twenty-four hours is not enough to run a household, raise a human being, and deliver quality output at work while still looking sexy for The Husband. But I digress. What I wanted to say is if I have enough time, I'd like to pursue a hobby. I loved to paint and draw when I was a kid but I want something different now that I'm old. I browsed through this hobby shop and saw some telescopes which reminded me on how I used to enjoy reading about heavenly bodies. I think it's something that I can seriously pursue especially now that I have a little girl to share the wonders of the universe with.

Trick or Treat anyone?

Gosh, all the cool places are booked. Should've planned this more carefully and now all that's left for us is to join the kids in Glorietta or Powerplant. We're having a mini trick or treat here in our village but I also want Sandy to experience Halloween full blast. I've been hearing great reviews on Shangrila's trick or treats or Ayala Alabang's decorations. Maybe I can persuade the husband to go there? I'll just tell him that it will be a nice opportunity for a photo shoot tee-hee. Halloween is so much fun when you have a kid. I remember two my friends dressing up as salt shakers complete with caps with holes in them. It's fun to dress up and I hope the little girl will keep her costume on, whatever it is, long enough to have her photos taken.

In-between Paydays

Here's another option to get extra cash before payday - Payday Advance. It's a service being offered by Check Into Cash that allows anyone with a photo ID, bank statement and proof income to avail of a short-term loan ranging from $100-$1000. This kind of loan can be used for unplanned expenses that usually happen in between paydays wherein the cash flow is usually short. The process is very simple - just write a personal post-dated check amounting to the cash that you want to borrow plus the payday loan fee. Check Into Cash will hold your check until your next payday with an option to pay for the loan in advance. This type of loan is fairly cheaper than paying for bounced checks and late payment charges making it more sensible to avail than suffer a poor credit rating.

Me? Annoying?

Okay, so I've always known I could be annoying. This tag opened my eyes to the extent though LOL so beware!

1. I'm a control freak. I need to see things done my way. When I ask people to do something, I hover over their backs to make sure they're doing it the right MY way.

2. I love to sell "old" items regardless if you're still using them or not. I have this need to upgrade stuff from phone, laptop, camera, baby stuff, toys, etc. The Husband finds this annoying because he loves to hoard junk.

3. I am loud, talkative, tactless, a gossip, etc. When people tell me, "don't ask", I won't stop until I know what they're not telling/hiding. I laugh and talk so loud especially if I'm discussing the latest gossip. The Husband finds this really scandalous and I'll have to agree especially if I hear people talk so loud in public places. Which is why I'm trying my best to act like a lady when I'm with Sherwin LOL. It's hard not to get excited when you're chatting with your girlfriends, though.

4. I'm very WAIS like Lumen. (Food, money, work, etc) I note all our expenses up to the last centavo and I buy anything that can claim that they are "cheap but as good as the branded ones".

5. I get really cold and quiet when I'm angry that nothing gets resolved. Or I smile and pretend that nothing's wrong just to fuel the anger of the other party, making them look like a fool.

6. I whine all the time to The Husband. Not having enough sleep, back pains, Sandy being so hardheaded, too much work, etc. What's more annoying is I tend to space out when he's the one doing the whining.

Expenses once more

I've been negligent lately on tracking our expenses. I used to log every centavo that we spend using either credit cards or cash. Lately, our salaries just seem to disappear every weekend that I'm no longer sure if we have savings at all for the past two months. Add to that is my new list of things that I need to upgrade work-wise. My laptop's memory, although 1GB doesn't seem to be enough for my daily use especially if I open Flash, Photoshop, Fireworks and Ultraedit at the same time. And don't forget the 20GB photos and scrapbooking kits that I need to back up. I'll have to purchase a portable hard drive soon if ever I want my laptop's excellent performance to continue.

Neverending Christmas List

I'll never get enough of online shopping. Especially when there are new websites like edealfinder.com who helps shoppers save money by offering amazing coupons to almost everything you need. A relative of ours will be coming home from the states this Christmas so I'm having some sort of online panic buying so he can bring the stuff with him. I've already added to my wish list a new pair of skinny jeans and a Croco-Textured Handbag using some Chadwick's coupons. And don't you think I'll forget to grab some Babycenter coupons. Edealfinder.com have so many Babycenter coupons & discounts that I'm thinking of buying a baby Bjorn for Sandy's cousin which can server as our baptism gift for her. Online coupons are just amazing! It's what every shopaholic needs.

Saturday Plan

Staying in today. We've been spending our weekends outside for the last few months so I want to try something new. Plus, it's cheaper if you stay at home LOL. No impulsive buying of that super cute toy for the little girl, or that fabulous pair of shoes that was such a steal, or that gorgeous home lighting that will look wonderful on our living room. (There's always an explanation when buying items so it wouldn't come off as impulsive LOL) There's still the matter of the little girl getting too bored with her too many toys, though. But with a little creativity, I'm pretty sure we'll have a blast. Her Papa is getting better at taking care of her alone so I'm looking forward to getting at least a 30-minute uninterrupted sleep. Hope you all have a nice weekend as well :)

Unexpected Package

I'm so excited! I just received my friend's package from the US containing her birthday gift for Sandy and some extra stuff for me. She didn't mention anything about sending a gift so imagine my surprise when UPS knocked on my door. Don't you just love friends like her? LOL. It's amazing how she manages to add a bit of everything in her packages. There were super tight baby tees, cute hand painted bangles, chandelier earrings and some port authority clothing for The Husband. She gave Sandy a nice two-piece swimsuit from baby Gap and a Barney backpack which I'm sure the little girl will love.

Cash Advance That You Can Depend On

Running short on cash a couple of days before payday? It's not unusual, given the status of our economy. Most families I know are living from paycheck to paycheck that if something comes up like a medical emergency or unplanned purchase for school, the only way to get extra cash is through loans. Yet even personal loans take too long to process or requires too many documents. This is where CashAdvance1500.com can help. They offer cash advance payday loans via the Internet ranging from $100-$1500. It does not only processed faster but you can complete the entire application in your own home. It only requires the consumer to fill out a form containing personal information, employment background, current banking and financial information and references. The lender should be employed for at least 3 consecutive months, earning at least $1,000 per month in income and has a valid checking account open for at least 3 months. The advantage of cash advance payday loans is you can apply even if you have poor credit. They also have an option of rolling over a loan so you can extend the loan up to the next payday.

Deathly Hallows

Gosh, the suspense is killing me. I'm halfway done that I can't help but feel sad that I won't be able to read about them anymore. I don't want it to end!!! I'm so hoping that there will be an 8th book or something. This book is action packed. I'd like to say that I'm excited to see this on the big screen but the disappointment that I felt upon watching the order of the phoenix recently reminded me not to keep my hopes up. The movies don't do justice to the emotions that were described in the book - anger, fear, happiness, revenge, and pain. Even the magic and fight scenes were too dull.

Well, I can only hope for the best.

Hey, I know that you want to send flowers to that special somebody just to make them smile. I also know that finding the time to get to the store can be difficult at best…I mean, who has time to fight traffic anymore right? That's why I love going to Vogue Flowers. They make it so easy to get send flowers online so that you don’t have to fight your way to the store to make sure that you can have fresh flowers delivered when you want them to the person you care about for any occasion. Spare The Rod

... spoil the child. I've always wondered if that's true. Sherwin and I agreed not to spank Sandy unless she's old enough to understand. However, there are times when she's just so hardheaded and kept on doing things that she knows will annoy us. It's so hard to keep your temper in check. Which is why I let her Papa deal with her when she gets out of hand. My heart breaks when I see her face full of tears though that I instantly forget whatever it is that she's done.

Parenting is really hard. No matter how many parenting books you read, there's still no perfect way to raise your child. You're still bound to have tons of hits and misses 'til you get it right.

Rings Around the Fingers

Finding the right wedding rings can be just as important as finding the right engagement rings, but thanks to Danforth Diamond you can find both in the same place. I know that you thought finding the best diamonds to put into a ring for her was about as hard as it was going to get, but picking out the perfect wedding bands together is just as important, but if you follow my advice and check out Danforth Diamond, I think you'll be please, and quickly understand why they're an industry leader when it comes to helping people just like you find just what they're looking for.

Shiloh Wiloh

I'm addicted to celebrity babies lately, see my post about Katie on my other blog.

This post however, is about the ever fortunate daughter of Brangelina, Shiloh. I'm not that crazy about her but I just thought I'd post her photo here. She looks so much like Brad Pitt except for her mouth which is so Angelina.

He-hee, sweet looking kid huh? I also love how the photo captured Jolie's hair and bony shoulders. Gosh, this post is so shallow LOL. I'm just amazed how these mommies look so good when they were supposed to be taking care of their toddlers every chance they can get. And it sure beats reading news about celebrities going in and out of drug rehabilitation centers.

Choosing the Right Firewall for your Business

Small businesses often find themselves in need of assistance when it comes to their computer networks. A Denver computer consultant who can come onsite and provide professional computer help is the perfect solution.

When making an important decision such as how to best protect your business information and the personal information of your clients you may want a professional to guide you through the process and give you valuable advice.
If you have business in or around the Denver area, one of the Denver computer consulting specialists at J.P. Schwartz, Inc. would be an excellent choice to call for help installing the appropriate firewall and for all your computer needs. (303)482-1242

Saturdeeh

Wow, I can't believe we're done with our groceries. I used to love going when it was just hubby and I. Now, it's a stressful chore because instead of comparing prices of the products (which I loooove), I spend my time chasing Sandy and just put whatever I need in the basket without looking at the price. So crossing that off my list of things to do tomorrow is a huge deal.

She's really a handful, our little one. She loves to run all the time and if you're not watching, you will definitely lose her. I'm having heart attacks whenever we go out but we just can't leave her at home when we buy stuff. She loves the mall so much and is so used to the routine that she always say, "let's eat hotdog" when we're about to pay for the groceries.

Portable DVD Player

Planning to go on a long car ride with the kids? A portable DVD player might come in handy once they start to get bored and fussy. Nothing wrong with keeping them occupied so you can all enjoy the long drive ahead. There's a portable DVD player being sold at digitalframez.com for only $239. Using a rechargeable battery pack, this portable 10 inch DVD player can play up to 4 hours non stop wherever you are. It also works when plugged directly to your cigarette lighter for car use. Designed for travel, it has a sleek and ultra slim interior with anti shock suspension to prevent damage for constant movement. It can play most DVDs and CDs including MP3, MP4, VCD, DIVX and even JPEG files. Don't be fooled with the size because it has a high quality LCD video monitor and 3D surround, Hi-Fi audio effect to provide you the same experience as your entertainment system as home.

Exercise

Was browsing the net and found some interesting health products at the as seen on tv website. We bought butterfly abs with them before because of the infomercial but not sure if it worked on The Husband's tummy LOL. I'm looking to get myself some Pilates DVD because of the raves it has been receiving from several celebrities. I've tried their Taebo before, which was awesome because I lost a lot of weight but I don't think I can do strenuous exercises anymore. Juggling work, household chores and taking care of a toddler are enough to drain my energy.

Here's her question:
If you could re-live your life, what part of it would you like to experience again?

My answer:
I would definitely love to go back to my childhood days. Things were simpler back then. We're not rich yet we're very happy and content with what we hacve. I remember afternoons spent with my grandmother or with my playmates as we try to make bubbles using gumamela leaves. I see myself walking home from school and just basking under the sun, smiling at everything I see.

Thanks Jenny! I'll have to think about my question some more :)

Just Me

Still finishing all my backlogs at work. Haven't slept properly for two days (see other posts) and I feel like passing out any minute. Good thing there's blogging to keep me awake LOL. Things are just fine on my fulltime job but I hope it gets better. Another team member was let go yesterday so that just means more work for the remaining staff, mainly me. Not complainin'! I love my job very much. How often can you find something that's willing to pay you big bucks doing what you love at the comforts of your home?

My side projects are doing very good at the moment that I can't help but feel that I can save a lot of money before the year ends. I know I talk about money all the time but it's all for the little one's future.

Removing The Clutter

When you go to our house, you will know immediately which one is our room by the amount of toys scattered outside our door. Once you go inside, you will think that you just entered a playhouse that was hit by a tornado. We clean it everyday but it always looks the same whenever Sandy is playing. Maybe that's one of the reasons why The Husband is so stressed lately. Imagine coming home from a long day at work and finding your bedroom a total mess. I guess it's about time we invest in storage bins so we can finally put everything into order. I saw this 10-storage bin with shelving at CarGuyGarage.com, which can accommodate not only Sandy's toys but The Husband's toys as well. We can also use it to store our shoes, which are currently threatening to topple off our very small shoe closet.

Missing Sleep

Sigh, I thought I've said my goodbyes to uninterrupted sleep but I was wrong. Sandy have been nursing five times a night for the past few days and I'm wondering if the last month's success was just a fluke. I hope not. I'm so looking forward to her sleeping through the night as soon as she turned two, you know? Might have to modify her nighttime ritual again. She haven't been nursing during the day so that could also be the reason why she suddenly wanted to nurse at night. Or could it be that her molars are coming out? LOL. It never ends.

Breathing Space

Here's a solution to your cluttered garage - use garage storage cabinets. Carguygarage.com offers various types of garage cabinets from stainless steel to aluminum to diamond plate and more. The garage is one place that people tend to take for granted without knowing that they can transform it into a sophisticated and functional room. By putting your junk, tools, cleaning materials and other stuff inside the storage cabinets, you are making way to a lot of space that can be used either for entertaining or for setting up your workspace.

Wouldn't you want a clean and spacious area for your car and other stuff just like the one below?

TV and Toddlers

I kept on reading about how you shouldn't let you kids watch too much TV. This is why The Husband and I agreed to shower Sandy with books so she'll busy herself with them instead of the usual "babysitter". I don't condemn parents who let their kids watch TV though. I mean, we all deserve a couple of minutes rest here and there. Hearing mommies talk about how their 6-10 months old babies love to watch Dora, etc. for long periods of time makes me wonder if Sandy is "late" in this area. At 11 months, our little one doesn't like TV which is also the reason why I didn't know what character she would like on her 1st birthday party. I tried to introduce her several cartoons but she only liked Barney when she reached her 14th month. Now that she's 2 yrs old, she likes to watch some cartoons like Hi5, Lazy Town or anything that includes singing and dancing. Still, I could see that she gets bored after 10 minutes and would rather poke at her books or run around the house. It's a good thing right?

No Way but the Fab Way

Can't have enough of baby items? Visit Secure2Me.com to see their collection of baby blankets. The Secure2Me baby blanket can be used on almost anything. With its unique baby blanket shape, it fits perfectly with all your baby gear from strollers to joggers; car seat, baby swing, baby carriers and can also serve as a nursing cover up. The corners of the blanket are secure with baby-safe clips so it will stay on your baby and not fall on the floor. These blankets, as you can see below are using luxurious fabrics from cool and breezy 100% cotton to super-soft boutique chenille.

What better way to protect your little one than these fashionable and functional blankets?

Air Up There

And this is how it looks from the room's veranda.

Amazing huh? Makes you want to live there for good. In fact, it's The Husband's dream to move there ever since. According to the real estate agent that I chatted with, everything is cheap in Baguio. If only husband can work from home like I do, we'd probably seriously consider moving there. Imagine waking up in the morning and see clouds (fog) outside your bedroom window. Absolutely heaven.

On The Move

My friend who currently has a house in Thailand just received her PR (permanent residence) status for Singapore last week. She is now looking International Movers so she can get started moving her stuff. I told her to check out the website of InternationalMovers.com and get a quick quote on how much it will cost to move all her furniture from her 2 bedroom unit in Thailand to Singapore. This site also provides several guides from moving to packing to choosing the most reliable moving company whether you're looking for International Shipping or interstate movers. The process of relocating is stressful enough that it's important to leave it to professionals.

Baguio Photos

Just sharing some photos taken in Baguio.

It rained a lot so most of them were taken inside the hotel. Still fun though. We just spent the day eating junk and watching TV while looking at the foggy skies from time to time.

Online Presence

I've finally convinced my client to take her first step in Blog Advertising. I kept on encouraging her to do this ever since I started paid posting. I've seen several startup companies reach their target revenues because of blog advertisements. She will be putting up an online shop where digiscrappers and photographer hobbyist can print storybooks online. And given how many mommies I know who would love this kind of service, I'm pretty sure her business will do well. Blog marketing can definitely expand her target market and generate successful leads in no time.

Weird Things

Tagged by Nita. I've done something similar to this before but I will post them again just in case people wants to know how weird I am.

1. I love watching B movies (corny teen flicks, low budget suspense/thrillers )
2. I massage my tummy whenever I feel good or anxious without knowing it
3. I need to visit at least three shopping malls for comparison before I buy anything that I really want
4. I hate sleeping alone
5. I love to plan things or else I'll die from boredom. I need something to look forward to everyday.
6. I'd rather read books than sleep

Thanks Nita!
