On Good Finds

Just got back from our Ukay-Ukay trip here in Baguio. Ukay-ukay means "sift through" or "dig up" and ukay-ukay shops are the best places to find a bargain out of a pile. You can usually find a very nice leather jacket for 50 pesos or a pair of knee-high boots for 150 pesos, all used of course. Ukay-ukay is not for the faint-hearted, though. There are reasons why they are dirt-cheap and if you're someone who hates wearing something that was previously owned by someone who died, then ukay-ukay is not for you. Anyway, we didn't see anything worth buying for. The prices have increased from 2 years ago when you can buy a nice RL bag for only 200-500 pesos. Now, most of them, at least the original branded ones, cost P1200-P2500. The ukay shops in Baguio have also expanded to selling used furniture and home accessories. I saw several cheap antique items, old bathroom fixtures, vessel sinks, slightly cracked mirrors, French lamps and more. I'd buy some of them if only we don't have to cart them back to Manila. To cut the story short, ukay-ukay just lost its appeal to me. Or perhaps, it just probably has something to do with the location of the ukay shop that we went to. I bet there are more authentic shops that we can go to if it was just the Husband and me.

I forgot how beautiful it is

We're here in Baguio. The journey was uneventful, weather is perfect and the sceneries are still breathtaking as ever. We're staying in Ridgewood, a cozy hotel with a wonderful view of the mountains and sort of reminds me of Pigeon Forge vacation rentals with their huge log cabins and beautiful fireplace. We also have wireless Internet which is why I can blog while the little one is asleep. So far, so good. I can't wait to spend the day outside and do the usual "park-hopping" with Sandy. I've grown tired of the parks here but with Sandy, I'm all for re-discovering their beauty once more.

All Set

Whew! I just finished packing our stuff for tomorrow's Baguio trip. I can't be more excited because this is the first time that we will go out of town without a yaya. Our luggage is cramped with Sandy's toys (baby doll, books, small camera toy, crayons, colored pens) so I'll have something to distract her on the long trip. She's one impatient little lady and we need all the "tools" to make our journey bearable. I'll be putting her to sleep early because were leaving in approximately 5 hours. Wish us luck!

2nd Birthday Layouts

I forgot to share my latest layouts. These were from Sandy's 2nd birthday. I had fun doing them because it reminded me of how happy the little girl was that day. As usual, I had trouble working with embellishments but at least I tried :)

Which reminds me, I need to catch up on her first year baby book. There are so many wonderful moments that I need to scrap.

The Gainers and The Losers

I weighed Sandy last week and was concerned about her weight gain, or lack thereof. She has been 25 lbs for the last two months (not sure) and it never changed ever since. There could be tons of things a paranoid mom can think of - worms, primary complex, etc. However, I want to stay on the sane side and attribute her slow gain for being overly active. Plus, her Papa loves to feed her junk food whenever he can so that could also be the case. Just have to make sure that she's eating her fair share of fruits and veggies to cancel out the junk.

I also weighed myself and I'm still on my 110 lbs even if I eat three plates of rice a day. The Husband on the other hand, has gain so much that he's considering taking boxing classes. Knowing him, he'll just go for quick fixes like buy a diet patch or drink some tea LOL.

2nd Birthday Photos

After boring you with a blow-by-blow account of the little girl's merienda party, just thought I'd share you her birthday photos.

Like I mentioned on my previous posts, I had to select from 300 photos before I can finally post some of them. There were a couple of nice shots capturing Sandy's mischief but they were either too dark or blurry to be salvaged with Photoshop.

Anyways, here are they.

More here and here.

Baby No More

Oh, the baby really has left the building. In her place is this cute and adorable, albeit hard-headed little girl who loves to drive her parents crazy.

I still can't make up my mind which age I love best. I miss her as a baby but it's so much easier and I have much more freedom now. Tantrums and disciplining aside, I'd say 24 months is a frontrunner.

Great Shopping Tool

Research proves that while consumers love to visit and do research on products that they want online, 90% of them still prefers to buy the product from a physical store. This is because nothing beats the personal shopping experience of seeing and holding the product, testing it for performance and defects. However, search engine have varied ways of crawling websites so consumers cannot rely on their results alone. This is where Krillion enters the picture. With Krillion Localization Engine, you can easily research for the product that you want to buy and get a detailed list of retailers where you can see the actual product. For example, let's say you need specific information about Kenmore Ranges. By searching via keyword or browsing through Krillion's major appliances category, you can easily find detailed information about Kenmore Ranges and choose the store near you to purchase the product. There's no need to waste time searching other websites when you can find all the product information that you need using Krillion's search engine.

Excited

.. our little girl is. It will be her first time to meet the real Jollibee tomorrow. I'm concerned if she can wake up early, though. The party starts at 9:30 AM, in Cavite, which is one and a half drive from our place. Which means we will have to wake up at 7AM and that she should be in bed an hour ago. She's still up and won't go to sleep, kept on saying "play only" whenever she hears the words "sleeping time!"

Meanwhile, I'm doing the best I can to get started on my side design projects while she's busy with her new baby doll.

Things To Do

Sandy's 2nd birthday photos totals to 300+ and I need to browse through all of them so I can share them with you. Plus, there's still her 1st year baby book which has only about 4 months worth of content. Considering that she just turned two this month, I have gazillions of pages to lay out before I can start on her 2nd year album. Then there are side projects that have to be converted to XHTML/CSS so I can get paid. Not mentioning the daily design tasks for my full time job. And of course, my super fun, other sideline, which is to get paid writing stuff about plasma cutter, hair transplant, etc. I wish I have more than 24 hrs a day to work and still have enough time to play and attend to The Husband's needs. That's what every mother's wish, right?

Wake Up Call

Something woke me up just now. I've been really tired and was so happy to see Sandy fall asleep early. I was just nodding off when I heard my neighbors voice all of a sudden. He just doesn't have the decency to keep his voice down. He kept on yakking and raving about his billet grille, making me wish I have a magical remote control so I can shut him up. I don't understand the big fuss about his new grille when all of them look the same to me. What a terrible way to wake up. Good thing I have tons of backlogs so I can make use of my time now that I'm fully awake.

Showing Off

Watched Crib again last night and the featured artist was this rapper whose name escapes me right now. I noticed rappers usually go all out when it comes to accessorizing their house. He has a separate room especially for arcade games, another room with billiards, darts, and foosball and of course, no rapper can be seen without having his own home theater room. It all seem excessive to me no matter how rich you are. The designs on his home theater carpet is interesting though. It's not the usual, plain and boring solid color. It has bright small stars in a dark blue background, which make you think you're looking at the skies instead.

Harry Potter Again

I've been neglecting my full time job because of Harry Potter lol. I was right when I said book four will get exciting in the middle. It's cool to see Harry getting better with spells unlike other stories wherein the hero is always the underdog. I never rest my eyes and now I keep on seeing black spots from reading too long. Guess that's the disadvantage of reading on a small screen.

Compare Mobile Phone Deals

I came across a website offering several mobile phone deals. It's a good resource site in such a way that you can compare mobile phone contracts, deals and offers from different networks. I saw a couple of Samsung g600 deals that are simply too good to pass. Imagine paying £25.00 a month and get 300 minutes worth of calls? The site is user friendly the way they categorized the offers by brand. You can easily browse through offers for the phone of your dreams with just a few clicks. Too bad I just got myself a Nokia E65 which I love to pieces or else I might avail one of their Nokia N95 deals.

24/7

I'm so dizzy from working late and waking up early. I know I need to take care of myself because I can't afford to be sick. Who's going to take care of the little girl? The Husband can I know, but face it, there's one that only I can give - breastmilk.

So this is just a reminder for myself to take things slowly. Have a break (what's that?) and smell the flowers. Yeah right.

The Weight We Were

Gastric bypass surgery is arguably a controversial means of addressing weight-related problems. One of the reasons is that patients sometimes see it as a "silver bullet", if you will, where all their weight-related problems disappear the moment they undergo the procedure. But, on the contrary, a substantial adjustment period is required post-op. In this period, patients experience emotional and physical distress-- primarily due to the abruptly lowered food intake that is needed. Thankfully, advancements in medical science now give individuals facing weight-related challenges a number of options. One of them is Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding, or Lap band. In this procedure, a surgeon inserts an inflatable adjustable gastric band through small (laparoscopic) incisions and positions the band around the upper portion of your stomach. This creates a small stomach pouch and passageway into the lower part of the stomach.

The procedure offers a number of advantages over other weight-loss surgery options: it is adjustable and, if the need should arise, completely reversible. It doesn’t require cutting, stapling or rerouting of the stomach or intestines and as such provides lower risks with the surgery and less serious long term complications. The procedure can be performed in an outpatient (day surgery) setting and offers a shortened recovery period.

How Evil can you get

Since I have the How Good Are You? quiz, I took another one to test how evil I am. Remember my result says I was only 52% good? Perhaps this quiz about the other side of the coin can help me understand.

You Are 34% Evil

A bit of evil lurks in your heart, but you hide it well.

In some ways, you are the most dangerous kind of evil.

LOL. So I'm only 34% evil yet the most dangerous kind of all. How convenient! These online quizzes are so addicting, really!

Our Breastfeeding Poster

I forgot to post it here. A couple of months ago, our pedia asked us if we could provide her a photo of myself nursing the little girl. So I sent her two of my so-called best shots (there weren't any because I was always sleep deprived so I look sad and tired on most of them). The last time I heard, they were using our photo for a pamphlet but I didn't think about it that much. So imagine how surprised I am when we saw this huge poster about breastfeeding with my photo in it. I mean it's really huge that my thighs look 10x bigger LOL.

poster.jpg bfeeding1.jpg

I'm still proud though. It's a poster urging mothers to breastfed their babies and I'm glad to be a part of it, no matter how small (or BIG in my legs case) my contribution was.

Everyone is good by default

But have you wondered how good you really are? Do you give your seat to an elderly or you don't see them at all? Do you like revenge? Are you forgiving?

I tried the quiz below and surprised to see that I'm just 52% good. And it says that I have the possibility of being a crooked politican. How weird is that? Go try it yourself.

You Are 52% Good

You are a fairly good person. You strive to live a moral life whenever possible.

You are usually kind, generous, and loyal. However, you do have a dark side that even you may not see.

When it comes down to ethical decisions, you tend to take the path of least resistance.

So you may end up lying, cheating, or engaging in other bad behavior... because it's just easier to do so.

You are also probably: Conflicted and confused about the current course of your life

Right now you are on track to being: A slightly crooked politician

To be a better person: Break one bad habit - whether it's telling white lies or spending too much money.

A Career in Beauty

You just love hair. You worry when you stay under the sun for too long. You believe that someone's hairstyle can say a lot about that person's personality. When you see people with bar haircuts, you can't help but cringe and have a desire to make it right. Well, why not fulfill these needs and enroll in Regency's cosmetology school. Regency is one of the fastest growing hair schools in Minneapolis. They just recently expanded from two Minnesota schools to almost 30 campuses across nine states. Regency has high standards for excellence yet does not restrict their students to have their own style. As part of the students' training, they provide high quality, upscale salon services to the public under expert supervision. The Regency graduates are recognized and sought after throughout the United States.

Lucky Day

I have been diligent in looking for paid posts everyday but I find that someone always seem to grab the last one before I get a chance. Today was different however. Imagine my surprise when every time I refresh the page, a new opportunity becomes available. In fact, I reserved about 20 of them in a span of 30 minutes. I kept on expecting for all the posts to disappear but they're still reserved as I write this. Well, I guess today is just my lucky day.

Losing sleep

I can't sleep. Got a new design request and the ideas are just swimming in my head, waiting to be transformed. I'm on my best on these kind of moments when all I can see are colors, photos and boxes connecting with each other. This is how I design, how I make a living. I'm so lucky to be getting paid doing what I love.

Better Prepared

You promised your kids that you would go to Walt Disney World this Christmas. You already bought your entrance tickets and the kids are excited. Still, there's that feeling that you forgot something. A quick check on your list confirmed that you don't have a place to stay yet. You start to panic because it's already September and most hotels are fully booked. Have no fear. Orlando.com can set you up easily with their affordable florida vacation rentals. Reservation is just a matter of few clicks and you're all set. They even have discounted rates for booking for groups of more than five people. And since Christmas is all about family, why not ask the whole clan to come with you and spend Christmas Day on the coolest theme parks in world.

One Down

We just finished opening the little girl's presents. She was so happy to receive all the gifts that we bought for her - big pooh tent, little mermaid barbie doll, new food items for her kitchen, microphone, mini musical instruments, baby doll that cries and laughs and some more books and chocolates from her guests. She only had three boys btw, the other kids weren't able to come because they were still sleeping lol. Anyway, there was enough chaos so I think three is a good number with Sandy as the mischief leader.

It was such a happy afternoon and we had about 300 photos, all blurred for sure. The little girl is still bouncing (sugar high most probably) as of this moment while playing with her new toys.

Till next year.

Resting before the event

Just finished putting Sandy down for her nap. I'm glad she finally fell asleep. She got a bit excited when she saw the candies and toys that I bought for her guests. She won't stop singing "Happy birthday Sandy", it's so adorable to see her happy like this. Any minute now and we'll start blowing the balloons. I can't wait.

Hoarding Baby Items

Ohhh, found another baby shop today. I've been addicted to baby shopping for the last two years and always on the lookout for new stuff. My new discovery is The Nest Baby Shop. They have cool items from moms-to-be to newborn babies to toddlers. Just checked out their fall arrivals to see the fabulous baby items that they have to offer. If you're planning to buy baby gifts for a new mom, their personalized gifts are just what you need. Nothing beats receiving a photo album, receiving blanket, or rompers with your baby's name on it. They also have cute diaper baskets and diaper cakes that you can give to expectant moms on their baby shower.

The So-Called Party

The first thing that I thought of when I woke up is what will I give to Sandy's "guests". You see, her yaya was able to convince 8 kids to eat snack at our place in celebration of Sandy's birthday. Of course, I wanted them to have fun so I'm now on my way out to buy lootbags and fill them them with candies and some toys. I also ordered food for the adults and confirmed the delivery time for Sandy's cake. I'm so excited and the little girl has no idea what I'm doing.

Dependent?

I've always prided myself for being independent at the age of 14 when I started working during summer. My mom always tell me how I never depended on her even when I was young. My brother still asks for my mom when he was in grade 2 LOL. So imagine my surprise when I took this online test to see how dependent I am.

You May Be a Bit Dependent...

You're more than a little preoccupied with being abandoned.

You need a lot of support in your life, at all times.

It's difficult for you to survive on your own...

And you don't reallly think you ever could.

I think it's just about right though except for the part where it says it's difficult for me to survive on my own. Excuse me but the reason why I worked when I was 14 is just so I won't have to ask my mom money. ;) I hope I can pass that to Sandy as well.

Sandy's 2nd birthday

Yes, our little princess is now officially two years old. All the signs of being terrible have been there for the last couple of months but I'm not complaining. We are so thankful to have her in our life that we can easily ignore and forget the sleepless nights, tantrum marathons and occasional parenting hits and misses.

We love you Sandy! We're so lucky to be your parents. :)

Goblet Of What

As much as I love Harry Potter, I find book 4, The Goblet of Fire extremely slow. I know I said that the books better than their movie counterpart but I'll have to disagree with myself this time. Maybe I was expecting a lot on the first few pages? It's just that the movie left me hanging on my seat while I found myself yawning from time to time reading the book. I'll give it another shot tonight. Things might get interesting once the other schools reach Hogwarts.

Take Care of Your Skin From Inside Out

We all know the importance of taking care of our skin. Living in a tropical country like ours, we can’t help but get exposed to the sun, which results to drying of the skin and worse, increase the chances of skin cancer. This is why lotions, moisturizers and sunscreens have always been a part of a woman's daily regimen. Scientists are finding ways everyday to improve these products by adding nutrients that will help rejuvenate a skin. Recently, a dietary supplement called R.G. Skin Revitalizer has been newly discovered which can improve skin health by working from the inside out. R.G. (Red Gac) is a skin nourishment rich in antioxidants, supporting your body against damaging free radicals. “Gac”, a native bright-red fruit from Vietnam that is valued for medicinal potentials, inspires this skin revitalizer. This "fruit from heaven" is prized for its ability to promote longevity, vitality and health. The Gac oil is a premier source of carotenoids, which are in a highly bio-available form to support health skin and body's own defense mechanisms from free radicals. Carotenoids, as plant pigments, function as protection of the plant against excess light. This kind of protection is very important to your skin. It also has lycopene, beta-carotene and other antioxidants that helps support strong cellular rejuvenation and supports the structural integrity of the tissues. There’s no better way to cure skin damage than nourishing it from the inside.

Unplanned

Sandy's yaya invited about seven kids in the neighborhood so I had to go out and buy party hats, more banners, pinata and some toys or personalized pens for the lootbags. I hope that will be enough for the kids, though. They're not hard to please :)

Sandy is excited and kept on saying "I have visitors". It's so adorable. She wouldn't even stop singing happy birthday.

Hay, I have so much stuff to do. Hope I can finish all of them in time for Sandy's birthday.

The Land of Strawberries

Since we're not giving Sandy a party, The Husband and I decided to go to Baguio on the last week of September. We have so many wonderful memories there and would like to experience them again with our little girl. It will be quite an adventure for us since we'll just go there by bus. Knowing the little girl's patience for long drives, I am hoping, really hoping that she will cope. I'm also praying that it will not rain. I've been paranoid enough after seeing two accidents in Baguio for the last three months.

I know it will be a blast. :) I just hope I can find time to rest there lol.

-----------------------
Just have to update this. I came across some blogs and learned that it has been raining steadily in Baguio for the past 10 months. I guess we need to start thinking of Plan B if we really want to get away before the end of September. We badly need a vacation! Seeing a website featuring a fairly new Vermont bed and breakfast just makes me want to go somewhere cold.

Save On Long Distance Calls

Calling your friends around the world doesn't have to cost much. Pingo's international phone card can save you up to 90% on your international cell phone calls. This is a huge deal for me because I always call my friends on my cellphone just to catch up. Saving a huge amount of money means I can prolong our conversation without worrying about hidden fees. Which is why I tell anyone I know about Pingo's prepaid calling cards. Just by signing up, you can receive up to 5 hours of free international calls. They even have a postie discount coupon - ppp3, which is valid for $3 off.

My mom, a real estate manager, usually calls her prospects overseas and can benefit from Pingo's Cheap International Calls. Pingo can afford to offer such low rates because of their RateWatcher™. They actively monitor the lowest phone card rates out there and always looking for ways to reduce their costs. And as a reward to their consumers, not only do they save you a lot of money with their low rates, they also have referral programs to keep you earning whenever you refer a friend.

With its low rates and quality service, Pingo is the only calling card you will ever need.

Meeting Harry Potter

I'm catching up on Harry Potter books lately. Thanks to my new phone, I can read all the ebooks that I want, wherever and whenever I want. I just finished HP 1-3 and now started on Goblet of Fire. I admit I never liked HP before. Lots of people rave about them so much and I don't want to be branded as someone who reads it just because it's popular. Yet here I am now, addicted, hooked and can't have enough. Even the HP movies were so-so for me but after watching it in DVD with the little girl, it felt like I was seeing them through her eyes and I just want to know more. Hence, the book marathon. Everything is way better in books. The scenes and feelings are described clearly and you can't help but feel the excitement of learning spells and meeting magical creatures. I'm trying to read slowly now because I don't want to finish all seven books in one month.

The Gift of Giving

I'm listing down gifts that I will get for the little girl's 2nd birthday this Tuesday. What I have so far are: training bike, baby doll and disney princess tent. Many mommies are telling me to buy her educational toys but she has loads of them already. She even has her own "laptop" that she puts on her table beside my computer table so she can "work just like mommy". You must think I'm spoiling her with toys. No, we rarely buy her stuff and she won't be receiving any gifts because we're not throwing a party. I just want her to open a lot of gifts on her birthday regardless if they're cheap or expensive. I mentioned this to The Husband and he excitedly told me about the toy sale in Glorietta this weekend. Knowing him, I bet he just wants to check out the discounted poker tables at the sports shop.

Job Searching

Sometimes it’s tough to get real-world working experience in the classroom. That’s why part-time gigs make the best student jobs, whether you’re talking about high school students or college students. You can find a part-time job with the skill set to get a leg up in almost any career. For example, if you’re interested in business, a customer service job behind a cash register can give you some practical experience and building blocks. Plus, part-time jobs have flexible hours so you can tailor a job to fit your busy class schedule. Also check out their job blog.

On her way to terrible two's

The little girl's birthday is coming up. No, I didn't plan a birthday party for her even though I wanted to. We just don't have enough friends with kids. It's too tiring to call and confirm everyone just like what we did last year. I'll buy her a nice Little Mermaid cake with Arielle as the toper. Then if her yaya can invite a couple of kids from the neighborhood, then that will be awesome. I'll buy ice cream and order from jollibee and maybe buy a candy pull so they can at least have fun.

I feel a little bad about not giving her a proper party. I'm sure she will appreciate it this time. She loves to watch her first birthday video and she's all smiles whenever she sees herself dancing and clapping. Maybe next year when she have friends or classmates to invite.

Oggling Furniture

Get a load of this discount furniture stores. Everyone knows I'm addicted to furniture that I allot 1 hour a day just to browse through online catalogs. If only I can achieve the look and feel of the bedroom below, I'd be happy to stay inside our bedroom forever.

I'm very particular with dark cabinets and tables to bring out the earthy tones of a room. However, now that I have a little girl, I would want to see a lot of white on the cabinets, bed, windows and vanity table. I'll be using a lot of pink and green on her room and the white will definitely compliment it.

Trendy Mommy

A fabulous outfit is always an effective pick-me-up. I've always believed that whenever you feel down, there's nothing that a good pair of jeans or shoes couldn't do. Which is why when I got pregnant, I made sure not to wear those goody-goody, matron-looking maternity clothes. Kiki's Fashions is a good place to shop for sexy and trendy maternity apparel. They have tank tops that enhances your new curves, sexy baby doll and date-night dress for special occassions and comfortable yet flattering jeans to keep your legs slim. You don't have to settle for boring outfits just because you're pregnant. Kiki's fashions are so affordable that you can save a lot of cash while looking good. This is the most special time of your life, so everything should be memorable and fun!

Garage Sales

Another neighbor had a garage sale yesterday. I found out about this from our helper who loves bargains. I don't know how she does it but she seems to know every garage sale that's being held in our village. Anyway, I was able to buy some original TV series DVDs - prison break season 1 and 2, grey's anatomy season 1 and 2 and heroes season 1. They were selling a lot of stuff including major appliances. I took a quick peek just in case I see something that I like. There were dvd players, TV sets, refrigerators, beds, cabinets, an entire cookware set and even a quoizel lighting and grand piano. All of them are in mint condition and I would've bought several if only we have enough space. Our helper bought almost half of the pile of clothes, which according to her will be shipped to her relatives in the province.

The one with the short dress

I had another photo shoot with the little girl wearing her old dress. It's one of my favorites so I told her to wear it again just for picture taking. After putting it on, she immediately looked for her pink havs and went outside to "pose".

I usually take her photo when she's playing outside so she'll find enough things to get busy with.

No such as thing as dumb

When I visited my parent's house last month, my 10-year-old niece Irish was there. I asked her how she's doing in school and she replied with a shrug. I learned from her mom that she's failing math and English and that she desperately needs to catch up. And then she told me how smart my younger niece is which makes me feel bad about Irish. I even heard the word dumb while she's having her monologue, although in a hushed voice. I don’t think she's slow; perhaps she's more interested on other things. I also blame it on TV and video games. Kids nowadays are just getting lazier because who would want to read when you can play right? Kids like Irish can benefit from a SCORE!'s Innovative Tutor. The tutor can help her catch up in school by teaching her to develop positive study habits. Kids need to learn to study the right way in order to achieve academic success.

Still holed up

I'm now way behind my deliverables. Ever since our "imprisonment", I haven't been able to finish anything. All the little girl wants is to sit on my lap while I'm working and look at her photos. And most of the time, she can smell my milk and would want to nurse. While I'm working. Or trying, rather.

The good news is that the household is starting to get well. Which means Sandy can now go out and play soon. I'm not taking any chances because the virus might still be there.

Your Own Breathing Space

You bought your dream house. Everything is perfect; the living room, kitchen, and bedrooms. Yet you feel like you want more. A place where there are lots of light and airy and comfortable. Do conservatories come to mind? Having this extra room which can be use for anything will not only improve the look of your house but will increase its value as well. It's important to find the best builder and there's no better company than Anglian. Anglian has over 36 years experience in providing top quality Home improvements and their customers can testify on the quality of their work. They understand that each customer have different needs and can customize their services to complement each home.

On Sore eyes

Sandy and I have been and still isolated inside our room for the last two days. One of the helpers have sore eyes and now my mother-in-law and my 3-month-old niece have them as well. Sore eyes doesn't last long but even as an adult, I know how itchy and irritating it can be. So just imagine if a baby or toddler has it. I will not risk my little girl. So, back to isolation part. I'm running out of ideas to entertain her, plus the fact that I'm not getting anything done while she's in the same room as me. We watch Barney, Little Mermaid and her first birthday party DVD and read all her books. We also bought her a mini study table so she can draw and eat there, given the fact that we can't go out of our room to eat. We've been so OC in cleaning our hands, spraying Lysol anywhere and I hope that's enough to keep it out of our room.

I wish the virus will leave our house soon.

Lunia Fan

My brother in law loves to play Lunia a lot. He's always looking to learn new tricks and download stuff like themes, music, wallpapers so I told him about Lunia Online where he can find all the things that he want and more. The Lunia Forum have several threads from favorite characters, tips and tricks, guides, to buying and selling Lunia items. I'm sure he and his friends will have fun hanging out there. Definitely a haven for Lunia fans.

A Healthy Breakfast Finally

The little one is starting to learn to eat on her own. I don't know if that's late or what. I don't really care as long as she's doing it. The real good news is she will eat everything, and I mean EVERYTHING that's on her plate as long as she gets to use her spoon and fork. I decided to take advantage of this so I bought some cheese, strawberries, melon, watermelon and bananas. This morning, she had her first ever nutritious and healthy breakfast. No chocolate chip cookies, cupcake, or doughnuts. Just plain, boring fruits.

I'm officially a good mother.
