Medical Drugs

If you search for Medical Marijuana Colorado, you'll stumble upon articles on how marijuana has been legal in Colorado since 2000. There's a lot of issues surrounding medical marijuana so I'll just list here the reasons why there's a need for it. Well, according to medicalmarijuanagroup.com website, that is.

- It alleviates certain debilitating medical conditions - AIDS, Glaucoma, Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, Epilepsy

- Relief from nausea and increase of appetite

- Reduce persistent muscle spasms

- Relief from chronic pain

According to the website, a patient or a primary caregiver must not possess more than two ounces of a usable form of marijuana and not more than six marijuana plants.

Women and Health

Some mother told me that the reason why she doesn't want to have a Caesarean Section when delivering her child is because she doesn't want to have a catheter installed. They say removing one is very painful and even more comfortable afterwards. It's a good thing labor and delivery was very easy for me. When the baby was there, it was entirely a different story altogether. No regrets though, I love Sandy and I will gladly go through with that 100 times just to have her again. Hmm, of course, I love Sandy MORE now that she is a little lady :)

Young children are much more likely than adults to have adverse drug reactions, so giving your preschooler prescription or over-the-counter (OTC) medication – even "herbal" medicines – is serious business. Here are some medicines you shouldn't give your 2- to 4-year-old
1. Aspirin
2. Over-the-counter cough and cold medicines
3. Anti-nausea medications
4. Adult medications
5. Any medication prescribed for someone else or for another condition
6. Anything expired
7. Extra acetaminophen
8. Chinese herb ma huang (ephedra or ephedrine)
Cautionary note: Chewables

For those of you who don't know my husband, you'd be surprise that he's very OC when it comes to cleaning the house. So I've decided to buy him a box of powder free latex gloves that he can use separately for his car, our kitchen and bathrooms. That was when I came across the the Allegro Medical website. This online shop offers just about every life enhancing products that you can think of. With over 55,000 products, 50 categories and hundreds of sub-categories, it will be impossible to leave empty handed. Need freestyle diabetes test strips? Check. Carpal Tunnel computer glove? Snoring Problems

For the longest time, I've been sleeping for 2 to 3 hrs a night because of breastfeeding. When I finally weaned Sandy, I thought I'd be able to sleep without problems. Boy was I wrong! Nothing has changed except the reason for my sleepless nights. This time, it's the husband's snoring that's keeping me wide awake. I tried to look for products here that could help him stop snoring but to no avail. Luckily I found allegromedical.com and saw several items such as the snore wizard, snoring treatment chin strap, anti-snoring pillow, and multi-mask sleep pillow. I want something that's comfortable too because who wants to wear a mask while sleeping? So I'm keeping my options to the chin strap (it's lightweight and supports the jaw comfortably) and the snore-no-more pillow (keeps the chin away from the chest and the airway open). Hopefully, one of these will work so I can get some decent sleep.

4lbs is Normal

My friend and I were talking about her recent Bali trip. As I was about to check her photos, she asked if I would know anything about Fenphedra. I was surprised about her question because she looked good the last time I saw her. If I remember correctly, it was two months ago and I even commented on how lovely her collarbones looked. She said she gained weight since then and that I might be shocked when I see her photos.

When I did see her photos, I got a bit confused because she looks exactly the same. I couldn't help but laugh at how silly she is but it turned out that she's really serious. She's worried about her recent "weight gain" that she's thinking of trying any diet pills. She used to be a model so she's not used to the normal extra 2-4lbs that you acquire whenever you go on a vacation. So as her friend, I told her to burn it off by running or dancing. With her metabolism, I'm sure she'll lose it in three weeks or so.

Gaining Weight

I gained weight again! Just when I thought I'd had enough of the treadmill, the weight that I lost came back to haunt me, literally. I'm so tired that I don't know if I'll ever find the will to exercise again. When I wake up each morning, I just have enough time to feed and give the little girl a bath before she goes to school. As soon as she leaves, I need to get started with my work. This is the most precious time of the day because no one can ever interrupt me. So you see, working out is totally out of the question. That or I'm just finding a way to get out of it.

Tv = Extra Lbs

I gained four pounds in one month just by being a couch potato. As you may already know, I'm so addicted to Coffee Prince that I spend all my free time (whether I'm playing with Sandy or putting her to sleep) watching DVDs. This means I'm always lying down on the bed or on the floor instead of running after the little girl (used to be my only form of exercise). Usually, I will feel down because of this weight gain that I'll immediately hit the treadmill. Not now though. With only Coffee Prince as my refuge for working all day, I believe I deserve the break and screw the new pounds. I can easily get rid of them when I'm over Gong Yoo.

Adjustable Weight Loss Procedure

I've been hearing about this Tampa lapband surgery from other celebrity blogs and how they prefer this procedure than gastric bypass. From Journey Lite's website who specializes in Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding or LAP-BAND® System procedure, I learned that what makes this procedure different is because it's completely adjustable and reversible. The process goes like this - a Journey Lite surgeon will make tiny incisions in the abdomen and insert a silastic band, which will create a small pouch and narrow passage to the larger stomach. This band will restrict food intake without interfering with your body's normal digestive system. The small pouch can hold small amount of food so the patient will have the feeling of fullness. The band can be adjusted to increase or decrease the speed at which the food empties into the stomach. Many successful clients have reported a weight loss of 1-2 pounds per week. This is considered the least invasive amongst other weight loss procedures because no cutting or rerouting of small intestines are involved. Because of this, the chance of complications is very low and recovery period is quicker.

The Gainers and The Losers

I weighed Sandy last week and was concerned about her weight gain, or lack thereof. She has been 25 lbs for the last two months (not sure) and it never changed ever since. There could be tons of things a paranoid mom can think of - worms, primary complex, etc. However, I want to stay on the sane side and attribute her slow gain for being overly active. Plus, her Papa loves to feed her junk food whenever he can so that could also be the case. Just have to make sure that she's eating her fair share of fruits and veggies to cancel out the junk.

I also weighed myself and I'm still on my 110 lbs even if I eat three plates of rice a day. The Husband on the other hand, has gain so much that he's considering taking boxing classes. Knowing him, he'll just go for quick fixes like buy a diet patch or drink some tea LOL.

The Weight We Were

Gastric bypass surgery is arguably a controversial means of addressing weight-related problems. One of the reasons is that patients sometimes see it as a "silver bullet", if you will, where all their weight-related problems disappear the moment they undergo the procedure. But, on the contrary, a substantial adjustment period is required post-op. In this period, patients experience emotional and physical distress-- primarily due to the abruptly lowered food intake that is needed. Thankfully, advancements in medical science now give individuals facing weight-related challenges a number of options. One of them is Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding, or Lap band. In this procedure, a surgeon inserts an inflatable adjustable gastric band through small (laparoscopic) incisions and positions the band around the upper portion of your stomach. This creates a small stomach pouch and passageway into the lower part of the stomach.

The procedure offers a number of advantages over other weight-loss surgery options: it is adjustable and, if the need should arise, completely reversible. It doesn’t require cutting, stapling or rerouting of the stomach or intestines and as such provides lower risks with the surgery and less serious long term complications. The procedure can be performed in an outpatient (day surgery) setting and offers a shortened recovery period.

Drink Your Daily Vegetables

I love eating vegetables even when I was a kid. When I get married the first thing that my mother in law asked me is if I eat them, which is kind of weird. I found out later that her kids including hubby are picky eaters. My husband eats one serving a week compared to recommended five servings of veggies and fruits daily. And as much as I want to feed him healthy foods, we simply don't have time to cook.

The good news is that even though you are busy to eat the right amount of vegetables, you can still get nutrients by drinking My Daily Veggies. My Daily Veggies is a delicious blend of whole dried vegetables that can be mixed with water and drink, or mix into your favorite dishes to boost their nutritional value. A single packet contains two full servings of whole vegetables, as defined by the USDA. When you drink My Daily Veggies, you can get the same fiber, the same vitamins, the same minerals, enzymes and phytonutrients as real fresh vegetables.

My Daily Veggies is a high-end daily nutritional supplement produced by Lane Labs, LLC. Their website, drinkyourveggies.com, will give you a third box for free when you order 2 boxes of My Daily Veggies in the next 60 days. A packet in warm water can serve as a quick and satisfying snack especially if you're in a hurry and can't stop for lunch. It's a great alternative to turning your inadequate diet to a healthy one.
