The Phone Tag

1. Your phone rings. Who is the most likely caller?
My husband or lately, a real estate broker.

2. How long do you chat on the phone each day?
I don't chat that much on the phone lately. With millions of things to do each day, there's just no time to talk for hours.

3. Who do you speak to the most?
My mom ever since she got a new phone.

4. Do you often not answer if a certain person comes up on your caller id?
Oh yeah, I hide from most people.

5. Do you phone friends at work?
Not really unless I want to confirm dinner and party plans.

6. Do you make personal calls at work?
All the time.

7. Who do you always say “I love you” at the end of the call?
My husband and my little girl. She loves it when I call her.

8. Do you use a landline or cell more often?
Cellphone. It's much convenient.

9. Who in the blogosphere that you haven’t chatted with but would like to?
No one really, I've chatted with almost everyone I know.

One Satisfied Client

I just received the final payment for a design job that I finished recently. The client was very happy with the new design and appreciative on the way I coded the page. The pay isn't much if you consider how long it took me to convert the page. I'm still working my way with valid xhtml/css so everything is still new but equally exciting. It feels so good whenever I make my clients happy. I love my job and I treat each design project as if it's mine. My favorite projects are website makeovers because they are usually so outdated and I have this need to help them see that there's so much that they can do with their web sites. So now, when they say that they are attracting more customers, their search engine placements are better or simply love the new look, I feel that I made a difference and therefore, consider myself a success.

Work work work

Let's see what's on my plate today:

1. Design two new web site mockups for a client.
2. Convert a chosen design for another client.
3. Post new xhtml/css to-dos on our internal community.
4. Create a flash slideshow for an actor's website.
5. Study how to create a spray paint can effect in flash.

Whew. I hope I can finish one of them at least.

An Old QOTW

1. When you see a man and woman walking together, do you automatically see them as ‘a couple’?
Yes. I even have this habit of noticing their age, fashion style, etc.

2. Is it always okay to walk along minding your own business, not bothering anyone?
Yeah, I mean why would you go out of your way to bother someone.

3. Which foods that you believe are bad for you that you stubbornly refuse to stop eating?
Bacon, bacon and bacon.

4. How would you handle these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights?
In bed cuddling my husband and daughter, tearing my hair out, not caring at all.

5. Do you easily adopt habits or phrases from the people around you?
Oh yeah. Although I'm proud of being my own person, I can't help but pick up my friends habits. I even used to think that I'm some sort of a chameleon, blending whoever I'm with. I've kicked that habit though.

6. What do you think of this situation?
~ In a checkout line at a store, someone is angrily yelling at the cashier because she’s waiting for minutes already. A long line of people are behind them with no other checkout line available. Does the angry person have a right to be yelling?
Depends what the cashier was doing. If she was busy chatting with her co-workers, I'd get all worked up too.

7. How often are you greeted by strangers in a friendly manner while walking around in public?
A couple of times especially when it's December and Christmas is just around the corner.

8. What do you think of Crocs?
Love it for my little girl. I hated the adult version until they released Alice for ladies. Now that one I would buy.

9. How long does it take you to get ready to go out?
About 30 minutes to one hour.

10. What kind of accent do you find attractive?
British. They just sound sexy!

Medical Needs

It's hard to find affordable but top quality medical equipment online. These products are for our health, after all so we can't let the quality suffer in exchange for a low price. However, at AllegroMedical.com, that is not a problem. They are one of the largest and most advanced when it comes to life enhancing products in the US. They started by selling medical and home health supplies but later expanded to include other products like dietary supplements, fitness equipments, baby supplies and outdoor gear. What I like about this site is the convenience of being able to easily sort categories to help you find what you need quickly. The site has a blog as well to keep you updated with the latest products and news related to health.

Some photos from Sandy's Musical Rehearsal

I wasn't really planning on attending the rehearsals but decided to take photos at the last minute. And I'm glad I did. I was a bit teary eyed while watching my baby all grown up on stage and had to look away plenty of times so no one can see. Another good thing about it is that I knew exactly what will happen on the big day. I won't be surprised anymore and might be better in controlling my tears just in case they threaten to fall again. :)

Online Shopping Again

Ever since I promised myself to stop shopping online, I've been ignoring the sale alerts on my inbox. However, my sister-in-law found out how cheap everything is in the Internet so she asked me if I can help her shop. Being a good in-law, I've decided to help her even if I was too busy. NOT! Of course, I'd love any reason to shop even if it's not mine. The thrill of adding one item to another to a virtual shopping cart is so exhilarating it keeps me awake for hours. This is a good thing because after spending hours doing online shopping, I'd be so wide awake that I'm more than happy to work even if everyone is already asleep.

Bitten by the Party Bug

That's how I feel lately after attending two parties last week. Seeing Sandy's face light up whenever she wins or joins the party games are enough to make me want to take her to all birthday parties. I rarely enjoy these parties when she was younger and sometimes feel like it's a bother to get dressed knowing she won't enjoy it anyway. But now that she's bigger, she can appreciate the parties and won't stop re-enacting whatever it was that she learned from the party host or magician. Just see the photo below to see what I mean.
