Questions of the Week #46

1. Where do you keep your Pot of Gold?
Secret!

2. Do you get annoyed by people who are really proud of who they are?
If they have nothing to be proud of. Like being proud of something so shallow -being rich when you obviously got it from your parents and not from hard work, handsome, popular, famous etc.

3. How often growing up did you hear your parents say “I love you”?
Almost everyday. My mom is a great show off when it comes to feelings :D

4. Here comes TROUBLE! What do you see?
Storm and blackouts. I dread them every year. This would mean we’ll have to stay in a hotel and throw money. We can’t sleep without electricity.

5. What is your most prized possession?
Sandy and The Husband of course. Next would be my Dell Studio because all my work and photos are there.

6. What nickname/s did you hate the most in your childhood?
Matutina. It was the name of an actress who has this very annoying voice. They called me that because of how I talk, which is always on the top of my lungs.

7. What haven’t you done in a long time?
Swim on a beach and exercise.

8. What do you enjoy doing? Aside from blogging because we all know we love to blog.
Shopping, planning for a trip and drawing. In that order :D

9. When you’re reading, do you sometime have to reread a section because your mind wandered?
If the book sucks yes.

10. Have things broken in your life recently?
None that I know of.

Too Sexy

You Are Sexy!
You're hot, and everyone knows it. How could anyone who looks at you not know it?
You're physically attractive, no doubt. You're also quite smooth, witty, and charming.

You know how to flirt, and you enjoy all of the attention that you get.
You take care to look your best, but most of your sexiness comes from your confident attitude!
Saw this from Thea and couldn't help but snag it. :) I'm not exactly sure if the results are correct though. It could be that I was choosing the answers that I want to do. One thing's for sure, when someone has a crush on me, they forget about it the minute I open my mouth LOL.

Vacationing with Kids

imageWho says romantic beach escapades are just for newly married or child-free couples? I've been site hopping for travel destinations worldwide when I came across Azul Beach Hotel at the Riviera Maya. Based on the photos, it has that romantic, secluded feel every honeymooners wish for. The only difference is that you can bring your kids and still enjoy luxury and comfort. These Family Friendly Resorts offers extra amenities like strollers, cribs, beach games, coloring books to make your vacation truly stress-free. They cater to vacationing families by providing all kinds of activities for the adults, teenagers and kids. You can have a totally luxurious and comfortable vacation without worrying how long you will have to entertain your kids so they will not get bored. :)

Everything Zen

That's what I've been trying to do for the last couple of weeks. However, I don't think my mind is made up that way because I just couldn't seem to take it easy. I worry about the smallest things and on my downtime, I list things that I need to do on my head. I'm either holding my phone to jot down things or compute expenses or read a book. Maybe I should let go of all electronic devices so I'd have no choice but to meditate. And when I say meditate, I really meant sleeping.

I hope tomorrow is a different day.

Snoring Problems

For the longest time, I've been sleeping for 2 to 3 hrs a night because of breastfeeding. When I finally weaned Sandy, I thought I'd be able to sleep without problems. Boy was I wrong! Nothing has changed except the reason for my sleepless nights. This time, it's the husband's snoring that's keeping me wide awake. I tried to look for products here that could help him stop snoring but to no avail. Luckily I found allegromedical.com and saw several items such as the snore wizard, snoring treatment chin strap, anti-snoring pillow, and multi-mask sleep pillow. I want something that's comfortable too because who wants to wear a mask while sleeping? So I'm keeping my options to the chin strap (it's lightweight and supports the jaw comfortably) and the snore-no-more pillow (keeps the chin away from the chest and the airway open). Hopefully, one of these will work so I can get some decent sleep.

Sandy and Her New Babies

Sandy's loots from Christmas. This was just from me and her Papa though. She got loads of stuff from our friends and relatives but I placed some of them in a box to avoid clutter. I'll show it to her every month so she'll think she have new toys :)

The Litte Einstein dolls are June and Annie. They sing and were surprisingly cheap for the quality. I should've bought Quincy and Leo too but Sandy told me not to while I was shopping online. Now she kept looking for the "other two" and asking when will I buy them. The Baby Alive doll (bottom) on the other hand, cries, laughs, pees and drinks. Cheap too but of very good quality.

Tuesday Update

I've been very busy - what's new? But this time, it's not just all about work. We've been house hunting every weekend but there's still no success. Either the location is too far or it's just not affordable. I wonder if we can make it to our deadline which is March this year. I know we shouldn't rush huge decisions like this but we'll just throw money if we end up renting. I'm not panicking yet but I'm not exactly thrilled about the number of options either.

I'm still hoping though. Another option is to buy a lot and pay for the amortization while we're renting. We'll see.

Random Questions #7

Snagged from Aggie

1. What is you bedroom like?
A total chaos. We need to re-decorate really bad but I'm going to wait until we move to a new place. I'm very excited about it really that as early as now, I've been online window shopping for nice but affordable beds and even discount dining room furniture.

2. Have you ever had Chicken Pox?
Yup. I had it a couple of days before I graduated from College. It really sucked because I have these huge brown spots on my face on my graduation photos.

3. What books are you reading right now?
Lipstick Jungle

4. Do you sleep with stuffed animals?
Does Barney count. Even though it's for Sandy, I always wake up with Barney on my face.

5. Ever liked someone you didn't have a chance with?
Yes. Gavin Rossdale and Gong Yoo. But I will have a chance someday I know. Well, if I got divorced LOL.

6. Is smoking one of your turn off?
Not really. Some men looked hot when they smoke haha especially my husband but I try not to let him know.

7. Do you listen to your friend's advice when they give it to you?
Of course.

8. Would you rather shave your head or dye your hair bright orange?
Dye it orange maybe. I'd only shave my head if I have Winona's wide-eye look and pixie face.

9. Are you truly happy right now or putting on a show?
Aside from being stressed at work, I am truly happy :)

10. If you could cuddle with anyone right now, who would you pick?
The Husband. I miss him so much even if I see him everyday.

Five Things I Hope To Do This Year

I don't want to call this my New Year's resolution because I almost always never do them. So let me just say that I'm hoping that I'd be strong enough to follow through:

Eat healthy. Sounds easy but if you live with a husband who is passionate about food (which includes pizza, fried stuff, sour cream, etc.), it's really hard. Just seeing his face in cloud nine makes me want to taste whatever it is that he's eating at the moment. Now he needs Lipovox for New Year.

Read less trashy novels and spend my nights sleeping. I've been very tired for the last couple of months because instead of taking advantage of the fact that Sandy sleeps through the night, I read ebooks and don't hit the sack until it's 1 or 2AM.

Focus at work. No chatting. Correction, no lessen chatting time. I work from home so I need conversation or else I'd go crazy.

Spend more time with Sandy and the husband. I've been neglecting them lately because of work. Which brings me back to item four. If I focus at work , I'd get things done quicker.

Re-connect with friends and relatives. I've forgotten about all of them ever since I got married and had a baby. I always have a  reason not to meet with them - busy taking care of a newborn (who is now three years old), too swamped at work, etc..

New Year Post

How was your New Year? I've been slacking off blogging-wise after promising to the husband that I will not touch the computer during the holidays. I'm just sneaking out to wish you all a Happy New Year. We had a lovely time even if our plans to spend it in Tagaytay didn't push through. There were enough fireworks in our neighborhood to keep the skies bright and colorful.

Here's a shot of the fountain that we bought especially for Sandy. She loves seeing fireworks and this one was definitely a hit.

Coming up next - my New Year's resolution(s)!
