3. A surprise box of doughnuts from the Husband
4. A nice dinner with close friends at Serendra
5. A pat-on-the-back type of email from my boss
6. A very healthy family, no sickness
7. Shopping every weekend

Scrapping Needs

I bought a total of 5 digiscrapping kits this weekend. They're so beautiful that they made me feel absolutely sure that I can finish Sandy's first yearbook. That and the wonderful inspirations I've been getting online and offline, I'm also doing my best to take photos everyday. Now all I need is to upgrade my computer memory and perhaps buy that much-needed portable hardisk storage so I can move some of the 30GB worth of photos that's sitting on my laptop.

On Precious Metals

For centuries, it has been proven that buying precious metals like gold and silver is one of the best ways to preserve wealth and purchasing power. Not only gold bars are rare and durable but it’s also universally accepted and can easily be traded around the world. If you really need to preserve your wealth, investing in precious metals is just the way to go. It can protect you against tough times such as inflation, deflation, recession, and depression. U.S. Dollars have continued to go down for the past couple of months. Precious metals on the other hand are being bought and sold throughout the world making its purchasing power stronger than ever. There’s no question which one can protect your wealth better against future uncertainties.

LDD Freebie

Little Dreamer Designs is throwing freebies daily.

Check out today's freebie here.

Grab them while you can because they only last for two days. I'm grabbing as much freebie kits as I can while I'm on my experimenting stage. Once I get used to scrapping again, I'm going to take advantage of those $1 sales and start finishing the remaining months on Sandy's first year baby book.

Scrapping

I've started scrapping again. Thanks to Aggie's scrapping magazines. I'm learning tons of stuff from the mags that I just can't wait to get started. The layouts there are so inspiring too. I showed some of them to The Husband but he just pretended to look interested. Typical! LOL. I hope this time I can finish Sandy's first year baby book. I'm still on her 5th month page. Sigh. I know. Lazy me. She's turning three this year so I have tons of months to catch up on. It sucks when you feel so creative but just can't find time to express it because of work. I'll just have to find time. I can't postpone it any longer. Not when my ideas are flowing like crazy.

Showers

I want to upgrade our bathroom faucets, especially the ones on the bathtub. Sandy loves using her Lola's shower, the one that you put on the faucet directly. Our current faucet has a wide mouth so nothing will fit. She hates real showers, by the way. She probably remembers the first time she had one in my mother's house. The water was so cold and we didn't have tabo (dipper) so there was no choice but to turn on the shower. She shouted and kept on crying until we we're done taking a bath. Up to this moment, she hates them, even the nice hotel showers. Well, everything except the one in my mom-in-law's bathroom. Sometimes, when she's not in the mood to take a bath, I'll just say, "want to see the rain in Lola's room?" and she will agree immediately.

School Day

The little girl started school today.

She was very talkative inside the classroom and wouldn't listen to her teachers. Since I was inside the classroom, she thinks it's okay to roam around and come to me every now and then. Whenever she hears something funny, she'll look at me and say, "mommy! hahahah that's so funny!!". What I do is pretend that I'm not there but it's so hard especially if you see her acting like a big girl. You can't help but clap and smile when she answers the questions correctly or if she does a nice twirl while they were dancing. Anyway, today is the only time we're allowed inside the classroom. Tomorrow will be different and I'm more nervous than Sandy because this is going to be the first time ever that we'd be separated for two hours.

Old and Heavy

I've been blogging nonstop about my recent weight gain. No matter what I do, I just keep on gaining those pounds. I wonder if it has something to do with Sandy not nursing that often anymore. I absolutely have no time to exercise because my 24 hours a day is already booked. I don't want to try weight loss pills like Orovo or Xenical until I'm absolutely sure that it's healthy. Besides, my weight gain is still under 10 7lbs so I'm not worrying that much. We'll see next month though. If things become worse, I might just wake up early and hit the treadmill. Thinking about it just now makes me want to lie in bed some more.

Domesticated Houseband

The Husband is at it again. He's organizing our room because he's bored. It's okay most of the time because he's good at maximizing space. He does this whenever our room gets crowded so he will move the furniture around to create a new look. This time, he wants to use my mother-in-law's wine racks as a TV table to which I strongly disagreed. First, it's not his furniture. Second, wine racks? Inside the room? He probably saw something similar on TV. It will never work, though. It might have a nice effect on our old bedroom, but since Sandy was born, our room already resembles a playhouse. So, a wine rack inside a room full of disney stickers and poster? Go figure.

Dreams

Tried one of those funny quizzes again. I love dreaming because my dreams are usually always vivid and something that can be used on Hollywood movies. My friends love to hear about them too and one of them told me to write it down because I might end up with a nice screenplay.

Anyway, I know they get too creative and overboard but I wasn't expecting the result below.

What Your Dreams Mean...

Your dreams seem to show that you're a bit disturbed... but nothing serious.

You may have a problem you're trying to work out in your sleep.

Overall, you are very content in your life.

You have a very vivid imagination and a rich creative mind.

You secretly want to hide your dreams from your waking mind.

A bit disturbed, eh? I don't think so. I'm lucky to say that I have few nightmares my whole life.

Kids and Jewelries

I was looking at The Husband's baby photos and saw how he used to wear a necklace and bracelet on some of his pictures. As an adult, he's not crazy about men's jewelry so when I showed him the photos, he laughed and told me he was too young to know any better. And he probably didn't have any choice back then. My mother-in-law loves jewelry so a lot so it must be her doing. When Sandy was only about three months old, my mom-in-law already gave her a gold bracelet with diamonds. Up to this day, she never fails to tell me how unfortunate that Sandy have no piercing because she would have bought her diamond studs. Well, The Husband is to blame. He didn’t want to pierce Sandy’s ears because he believes that it’s her body so she should be the one to decide what she wants to do with it. I doubt if he’d feel the same way if Sandy’s 16 year old version will decide to pierce her eyebrows and tongue LOL.

Spacify

I always feel like a kid inside a toy store whenever I visit websites selling furniture. Take Spacify.com for example. All my dream furnitures are there - comfy sofa beds / day beds, five-star-hotel type bathroom vanities, Martha Stewart-ish kitchen accessories and many many more. I like their bedroom sets in particular because everything that you need is already there and they match! You can even copy the color of the walls if you want to.

And just take a look at this cute bunk bed. Very stylish and chic. With a few change in colors and accessories, I can use this design for Sandy's room.

Talkies

My mom is talking nonstop about home insurance ever since she attended a seminar about it. As much as I love her, sometimes I just pretend that I'm listening to the importance of it all when what I'm really doing is read my ebook LOL. She's a real estate agent and need to attend these kinds of functions from time to time. Everytime she just came from a new seminar, she'll make sure to tell me all about it, in detail. From the bulleted topics, the venue, even the food and drinks. Most of the time, I love to see her all psyched up but if I'm busy, I just make sure to nod my head every 10 minutes. :)

Horsey Horsey

The little girl riding Herbert the Horse.

She didn't want to ride at first. But when she got the hang of it, she asked if she could run while pushing my hand away. As if I'd let her run! I can't even keep my left hand away from her except that one minute so she'll have a picture riding on her own.

Wishy Washy

It seems fractional ownership is the latest popular investment these days. I've been seeing plenty of flyers and brochures from properties in Tagaytay, Batangas, and even Boracay that offers this kind of ownership. I wish we could get one though. But at the rate we're going, we'd probably better off working overseas before we can buy our dream house. Don't get me wrong; there are so many good properties that are just within our budget. But I'm not crazy about paying mortgage for more than 10 or 20 years. I prefer if we can do it in three or five so we don't have to worry about obligations just in case something happens in the future.

Time for a new TV set

Our TV of 4 years broke down last Sunday. I felt a bit sad because it was one of the first appliances that we bought when The Husband and I were just starting out. It's a 27" colored TV set that we bought at Surplus for only Php3,000. The Husband doesn't share what I feel; he's actually a bit pissed because he can't play his PS2 anymore. We have another TV inside our room but he's not allowed to watch or play there when Sandy's asleep LOL. I feel bad for him too because watching TV is his only way to relive stress from work. I might consider letting him use my LCD monitor. We'll need an lcd mount though because it's hard to watch movies, let alone PS2 when it's on my computer table.
