All About The Little One

[7th month photo]

1. Sandy still breastfeeds at 27 months.

2. Sandy is a sponge. Absorbs everything she hears and sees. You can’t tell a secret when she’s in the room because she will blab all about it to the first person that she’ll see.

3. She was allergic to formula when she was a baby and she spent her first three months in pain because of nightly stomach attacks.

4. Her real name is Sophia Andrea.

5. Sandy can quickly learn new dance steps and memorize words from a new song, book or tv show.

6. She’ll choose Mama Mary over Dora or Barney

7. She’s very enthusiastic and appreciative. When her Papa brings her something, she’ll say “Oh my god Papa! Thank youuuu!” whether it’s a toy, medicine or juice.

8. She loves eating veggies. To convince her to eat rice, you will have to bribe her with veggies first.

On The Move

I'm seriously considering buying outdoor furniture for our future "home". We're moving out this August and one of my top priorities is a big lawn so Sandy can have fun without leaving the house. We have yet to find the house but I'm confident that we will. After all, we have about six months to prepare before the big move. I'm so excited to finally get a chance to be the queen of the house, buy furniture and decorate, plan parties, cook meals (as if?) and everything else that a homemaker should do.

Something work related

Since we're launching a new campaign next month, my boss wanted me to design a fun logo especially for that campaign. He's planning to give out imprinted promotional products to our existing clients with hopes of getting more sign ups. The thing is I hate designing vector artworks. I'm very good with Photoshop and it's too bad that it can only do bitmaps. Illustrator and Fireworks still scare me but I have no choice. I need to improve my skills so I won't ever have to face this hurdle in the future again.

More on Coffee Prince

Of course, this blog will not be spared with Coffee Prince's screencaps. This is one of my favorite scenes, the part where Han Kyol gave in to his feelings and asked Go Eun Chan to take their relationship as far as they can go.

I won't be able to give justice on what really happened on that scene so I recommend that you watch it yourself.

Tv = Extra Lbs

I gained four pounds in one month just by being a couch potato. As you may already know, I'm so addicted to Coffee Prince that I spend all my free time (whether I'm playing with Sandy or putting her to sleep) watching DVDs. This means I'm always lying down on the bed or on the floor instead of running after the little girl (used to be my only form of exercise). Usually, I will feel down because of this weight gain that I'll immediately hit the treadmill. Not now though. With only Coffee Prince as my refuge for working all day, I believe I deserve the break and screw the new pounds. I can easily get rid of them when I'm over Gong Yoo.

Low Vision Products

Check out these low vision aids. Aren't they the most innovative products you've ever seen? There are digital magnifiers that let you magnify words and pictures, big remote with huge numbers, talking watch so you can hear the time, and even a talking calculator so you can easily see the numbers. I find these products useful and a great gift to people with low visions like our grandparents. Just because their vision is low doesn't mean they can't enjoy reading a book or watching TV.

Five Factors

Your Values Profile

Loyalty:

You value loyalty a fair amount.

You're loyal to your friends... to a point.

But if they cross you, you will reconsider your loyalties.

Staying true to others is important to you, but you also stay true to yourself.

Honesty:

You value honesty a fair amount.

You're honest when you can be, but you aren't a stickler for it.

If a little white lie will make a situation more comfortable, you'll go for it.

In the end, you mostly care about "situational integrity."

Generosity:

You don't really value generosity.

Your needs always come first, no matter what.

And you'll possibly help someone else out...

But only if it helps you in return.

Humility:

You value humility a fair amount.

You tend to be an easy going, humble person.

But occasionally your ego takes over.

You have a slight competitive streak - and the need to be the best.

Tolerance:

You value tolerance highly.

Not only do you enjoy the company of those very different from you...

You do all that you can to seek it out interesting and unique friends.

You think there are many truths in life, and you're open to many of them.

House Hunting

I've stumbled upon a thread about mortgage lenders yesterday while browsing for houses for rent. I read that the rates are so much lower this year making me wonder if we're just wasting money by renting instead of buying. Just thinking about this is giving me headache already. I guess we can rent for a year until we can find a place that we want. Condo living, no matter how high end is definitely not for us. It's okay if it's just The Husband and me, but with Sandy, everything has to be bigger, more spacious, safer and closer to at least one grandparent. The said reasons made it easier for us decide to rent a bigger house instead of buying a small condo unit.

The problem now is to find that big house. Not only that, it should be near schools and malls as well. LOL.

New Gift

My sister-in-law called us on the phone last night to tell us to meet her outside. We thought there was a surprise visit from a long lost relative but instead; we saw her driving her brand new car. This cheered me up immediately because we've been planning to have an out-of-town trip with our kids once she get her car from her company. She has been waiting for this since last year and it's only now that they gave it to her. The problem now is parking. Until they find a slot in our village, they'll have to make do with car covers if they're planning to use public parking.

Back to Furniture Hunt

I've been taking a break on furniture hunting ever since we decided not to go through our condo purchase. On the other hand, The Husband told me last week that it's time to move out and rent a bigger house for the three of us. Which just means that I'm soooo back into furniture shopping! You just have no idea how high I am right now. I'm looking at some living room furniture from my favorite site, FurnitureFromHome.com to get some ideas. We'll definitely need a king bed because I don't see Sandy sleeping on her own in the nearest future. I'm also interested to buy a sleep sofa for guests who would like to sleep over. I love browsing through the Furniture From Home website because their collections are so fabulous. They have furniture on every style that you can think of. Whether it's modern, contemporary, traditional or country, you can be sure that they have it. I just wish I can afford all of them!

Investing

One of the safest way in preserving your money now is to buy gold coins. Monex Deposit Company, America's gold and precious metals investment leader offers gold bullion at competitive prices. One of the gold coins that they offer is the Gold Vienna Philharmonics, which is the largest diameter one-ounce pure gold coin in the world. This, alongside with other products can be bought online and delivered to you at a bank or any safe location of your own choosing. Precious metals are the only financial asset that are not someone else's liability and can protect an investor from a stock market crash. For thousands of years, it has proven to be a solid and tangible way to protect one's wealth. It will always be valuable despite uncertain circumstances like inflation, deflation, recession and depression.

Site Seeing

I really like the design of this real estate website selling Branson lots. I was just browsing for inspiration when I came across their site. The color scheme is just so right for the properties that they are selling - earthy, nature, calm. How I wish we can have a getaway there and stay in one of their comfortable cabins. I love staying in cabins because you're much closer to nature as opposed to being cooped up in a hotel. Anyway, enough blabbing. I need to take notes from this site so I can come up with a mockup for this new website that I'm working on.

Casino Online

32vegas is unlike any other casino online. Seeing the homepage of the website alone will make you feel like you are stepping in a real Vegas casino. With a massive 320% sign-up bonus, you can enjoy over 130 different games from blackjack, roulette, slots, poker and more. The games can be downloaded in one click but you can also play online on their flash-based website if you prefer. If you're not yet confident on your gaming skills, you can choose to play in practice mode until you're ready to play real money.

Bath Time

Sandy hates bath time. I've never thought she'll be like those toddlers who have to fight their parents when it comes to taking a bath or brushing their teeth. At least she lets me brush her teeth now (all thanks to her Barbie toothbrush) unlike before when she kicks me and had to be restrained by two people.

Now I'm looking for a doll that she can give a bath so she'll be more cooperative. I came up with this idea when her cousin Gabby came to visit. She brought this huge Dora doll on a bathing suit (not exactly the one on the photo but similar) and they had a great time giving the doll a bath. I haven't seen anything like it from our local stores so I'm searching online and hopefully I can order it from peachy (the queen of online shopping).

Ruby Red

Yehaa! Just got news from Peachy that Sandy's crocs are on its way. I'm so excited and been dying to get it from her. I'm also afraid that her feet have gotten big over the past couple of weeks that it might not fit her anymore.

So cute huh? It's a must for little girls and women too! She already have these in brown and since it looked really nice on her pamaypay feet, I've decided to get her another pair in ruby red.
