Kids and Internet

My niece asked my help in researching for her project in school. They needed to list down at least 50 types of trees and the first one that I thought of are Pomegranate trees because of an advertisement that I read online. Honestly, I think I'm spending too much time researching already so I'm not the least bit excited in helping a 7 year old learn the Internet. Good thing the husband is a very patient man so he was the one who showed my niece on how to google. Isn't that amazing? Seven year olds googling? When I was that age, I'm always outside hanging out near the creek at our house, making bubbles out of flowers.

Oh, it's almost unbelievable... In order to find anything in google, she should be able not only to write, type, but to SPELL words correctly. And know exactly what she is looking for...

We do not want to think of our kids surfing the internet so early but if they do not the other kids will leave them behind in the education area. Hopefully all parents will monitor where their child goes on the net and restrict the time they can use it.

I guess the technology is evolving and kids are more educated with computers, but I don't know. I think kids are missing out on being a kid. You can always sit by a computer as an adult, but I think kids should enjoy life and get out stress free.

It is good in the world today to learn to Google early. If you can master this skill before hitting the double digits, there won't be anything out of reach from your knowledge. I love Google!

Maybe someone should make a Google for kid's because I fear sometimes, what they might accidentally find in a search sometimes. I mean... there is alot of bad things on the internet, that I surely hopefully my kids will not find.

Thank you for writing this. I really think this whole off-and-everything-on-the-internet-is-evil era needs to end. It's like any other potentially hazardous situation ... not be an idiot, and you'll probably be fine.

I figure it's like letting your kids drive a car. Sure, there are plenty of ways they can get hurt and you'll never know when someone's going to hit you, but the benefits outweigh the risks so you let them do it. Now that I think about, driving is worse than letting your kids use the internet.

I think this is a great post. One thing that I find the most helpful is number five. Sometimes when I write, I just let the flow of the words and information come out so much that I loose the purpose. It’s only after editing when I realize what I’ve done. There’s defiantly a lot of great tips here I’m going to try to be more aware of.

I think your blog post was secretly a awesome beginning to a potential series of blog posts about this topic. So many people pretend to comprehend what they’re talking about when it comes to this topic and generally, very few people actually get it. You seem to grasp it though, so I think you ought to run with it. Thanks a lot!

Roofing companies have a tendency of sticking to the same procedure over the years which has allowed them to continue to operate and some roofing companies choose to rather break the rules and they tend to come and go.
